Looks like I am out for this weekend. Long weekend already so I will be away.

Should we try and get on in September?

Hey guys - the last time we got together you had mentioned a decent powder coating company in Calgary that corey used on the 3SGTE piping; could someone refresh my memory? I need to get quotes done for some headers that are on their way...
Also - anyone know a great place to get some custom piping done for exhaust?

Yea, David was right, I had my piping done at Topgun coatings. Although for headers/exhaust parts you should get it ceramic coated over powdercoating, as ceramics are rated at a much higher temp rating.

As for exhaust, if yo are just looking for something "generic" custom I would recommend Carline mufflers. I don't know how custom you want to go (ie 3" SS mandrel bent w/ SS cat etc), but they should be able to do a good crushbent mild steel exhust for a decent price.

As for a meet, lets try and set a date and I'll try and get insurance put back on. I've been busier this summer than I had originally anticipated for, and little things with the car have kept me from driving it a whole lot (I haven't gone through my winter storage tank of gas yet...), so I took the insurance off for now. If we can set a date, I will try to get the car back together w/ insurance for that time period.

Yea, its been a few months since I've had a chance to browse the forums. I haven't had a whole lot of free time lately, like I said I hadn't even had the chance to go through my tank of gas from last winters storage. Right now I'm in the process of re-doing the brakes because they squal like a banshee. I guess I didn't put enough anti-squeal spray on. The 2 hour job it should have been has taken me almost 2 months, and I'm only done half the car...

Sweet - David and I got the rear suspension done out at my place last weekend - I ordered a set of Tanabe DF210's; and we also installed the GTFour Rear Strut Bar. Looks good so far. tongue.gif

You busy w/ work and such?

Sometime in September we should set up a day and go to Jeremy's and we can all mess around with your brakes!

Danny, when are you going to be getting your car back? I don't know about going all the way down to David's/Jeremy's to do brakes, but if you want to come up the hill we can do/finish them at my place.

Actually I need to do the brakes on my RSX too, so if anyone has a free day, let me know and maybe we can get some beer/pizza/brakes/rockband/cod4 goin.

Jeremy's in Airdrie. We can go anywhere though. Could also bring tools to your place.

I know he is in Airdrie, but my car is up on stands right now, and I don't have driving insurance. Danny lives down the hill from my place.

I have a bunch of tools, just nothing air, all my tools are hand/cordless.

The only thing I can think of that we might need if we are going to be working 2 sets of cars, is another pair of stands. I only have 3 pairs.

New axles? Front or rear? You can get these at NAPA/auto value for pretty cheap. It would probably be a bit quicker than ordering off toyota world.

Would either David or Jeremy be interested in coming up North to do some brakes (and axles if we get them) in the next week or so?

I would be interested - just have to run it by the "boss" first to see if we have anything planned for whatever day you'd like to meet.
