Not much to say, but I'm glad I finally got them. Don't know if they'll make a diffence but since i needed new ones, well, this was the way to go.

I thought the TRD wires came with the little ring thingy at the top to pull them out? That's the ones for the 3S-GTE - not sure but these must be the ones for the 3S-GE right Slick? Very nice purchase BTW very nice did you get spark plugs aswell (a good idea to do at the same time ) I hadn't planned on it but I think you're right. What do you recommend? NGK HTTP://www.ngksparkplugs.com X1000 Slick - don't just change the wires get you the plugs and the cap and rotor to go with it. Do it right the first time bro. NGK plugs, TRD wires, OEM cap and rotor FTMFW. I suggest Iridium plugs [I love them] but I'm sure I'll get called on that. But think about it this way - you sprung for the best wires why strap them to normal plugs? Yea, they're the 3SGE plug wires.
Thanks, D-man. I was hoping that they would be NGK because that's just about the only type that I can get arouond here. Except for Bosch, but I hear that they're not that great. Thanks Death. I'll be purchasing my plugs tomorrow. I know what the distributor cap is but what rotor are you refering to? Oh, and i couldn't wait to put them in! Oops! Here are some crappy cellphone pics. I haven't driven it around yet but I'll do that plenty this weekend. Thanks for the comments guys -------------------- "Remember, amateurs built the ark and professionals built the Titanic. No problem bro. Like I said - spring for the iridiums - they're not that much from NGK.com so if you need one of us over in the states to help you let us know.
the rotor is the arm under the cap that spins - I think you guys over there call it a dizzy arm or something? You need all four parts to do it right. For those parts the only way to go with your good plugs and wires is OEM - don't cheap out. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. Those are very nice looking, I wish NGK's had color options for their wires, because I'm tired of looking at my blue wires in my engine bay.
But I don't see how these could be any better than the NGK replacement wires. |
