So, if no roll cage, what can I do about beefing up my sides of the celi for better side impact accidents? Can welding some in-door steel strips help? no, not for the street welding in various pieces or what not can screw up OEM design of crumple zones and crash safety features, thus resulting in further damages like we've said...wearing your seat belt, and having airbags still in the car is the safest and best protection on the street. I know that airbags are safty equip... but in my experience, they deploy several seconds too late but now i drive a Toyota, not an old Ford
I wanted to ask if 4/5 point belts (Correctly installed, With the proper equipment) Would help? (lol, i've got a convertable, if i flip i'm done ) thats why the call them accidents and not intentionals LOL!!

(lol, i've got a convertable, if i flip i'm done ) couple seconds late?! in most accidents your car stops in less than a second. air bags deploy and contract with in that second. you woulda wrecked/come to a stop and then been wacked in the face after the entire event was over? but as you said it was a FORD = Fix Our Retarded Design :dunno: 4 point harness is doable with a harness bar, and certified belts. All about the correct setup |

All about the correct setup Yup. Actually i was hit, stopped, and I was starting the process of driving off of the street (it was a little back road, i was just moving towards the ditch really) when it deployed. BAM!! I couldn't move my head for 3 weeks; not to mention the excruciating pain i was in, and working in a fcuking jack'N'box as an assistant manager was not helping... Plus that white powder crap had me itching for a few days as well... So (correctly done) the 4 point harness would indeed be a nice safty upgrade on a street car? (provided that it is in conjunction with local and state laws, and i suppose you'd need the seats too) -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! Okay, this old lady put her hood to my drivers side rear wheel at about 45 MPH, i spun arround about 2 full 360's before hitting a brick wall. I was ajared into the street so i started to drive into the grass off the road when the air bag deployed.
Now: Owned is the part where this 90 year old lady (who had hit ME mind you) ran down the street, stopped, turned around ran back to her car, Hoped in a burnt out. Meanwhile i'm fighting with a air bag and choking over this freak anthrax or w/e is in that air bag and falling out of the car with a busted nose and lip, bleading all over the place, coughing and spitting blood and white crap... and that old lady fcuking RAN!! meanwhile i look like one of the Olson twins with white powder all over my face with a bloody nose, dizzy and disorentated wandering arround in the street trying to figure out what the hell just happened... That sir, is the definition of OWNED... -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive.
