ok, i found a site thats linked to japan imports. and i found lots of cheap GT-4's priced from 3-15k. um i know theres a few strings attached and a few catches. but what all would be necissary to haul one over there and be legal? and ive noticed lots of pictures from people on this site have right side steering. is this because they imported from japan? please dont kill me for this ?. just curious lol rolleyes.gif

Have you even attempted to execute the search function on this site? I swear this comes up every month. It has been discussed many many many times, and yes you can purchase one and have it shipped, BUT it is not street legal in the United States and you will not be able to take the car from the port you have it shipped to - be it on a flatbed or otherwise until it is registered. So you have the option of shipping the stripped down body over by itself, and then have the hood, bumpers, fenders, etc. shipped over by itself, and then have the motor and transmission shipped over by itself, AND THEN re-assemble and register it as a kit car, but this is very shady - not to mention illegal

But do what you want smile.gif

But isn't there a 15-year law that makes them street legal here?

So they'll never ever be legal here? Screw that, I'll buy one in Europe.
