sports car and economical do not belong in the same sentence. May someone please smack you for such a request. Probably thinking more of a Sport-compact and not an actual sports car. However, for the debate there are some economical sports cars. Lotus Exige being one, Lotus Elise being two . Any lotus with the 2ZZ-GE should get better mileage than the 7G celica.(Theoretically... does anyone have a mpg comparison?) I'm guessing you don't want to pay that much though do you? -------------------- (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your (")_(") signature to help him gain world domination. |

Sports Compact = "Economical Sports Car"
Sport cars are anything but economical, but economical cars are FAR from sports... You're trying to mix a Panoz Roadster and a SMART. You're talking about This + This EDIT: Roadster Replacing the "Fuel Efficient" Lotus Elise. You're talking about This + This I dunno the lotus IS pretty economical. (for fuel economy that is, good luck shelling $40,000 - $100,000 depending on the model) IMO you should have done larger extremes. Like Panoz Roadster and Tata Nano. -------------------- (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your (")_(") signature to help him gain world domination. |

I was just going off the top of my head... Feel free to extreamiate my example Its actually kind of tough to make an extreme comparison without venturing into muscle or supercar territory :'( I'll stick with the Panoz roadster. You can't go wrong with a V8 powered 2 seat roadster as being both uneconomical and impractical.. especially when it had the 302. I still would want one though -------------------- (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your (")_(") signature to help him gain world domination. |

gsxr + smart car... low weight, minimal cost, fuel efficient 14,000rpm monster Hahaha I wonder if you could retrofit a motorcycle engine into a Tata Nano or Smart Car. That would be intense. -------------------- (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your (")_(") signature to help him gain world domination. |

It has been done the cars have been available outside the US for a While. Search Youtube for some videos. > That would be intense. Yes it was. IMHO a sports car is any car you can take to the track on the week ends and have fun. If it has 4 doors, the kids can come along and watch while Mom or Dad race. Even a turbo'd minivan would do ok at a drag strip ? Not a canyon carver though. Regards; ---------------------------------------------------- |

Damn it.. it has to be so technical, so what is it? Economical sport-wannabe-car? Good pricing sporty looking car? Or just whatever compact car with ground effect body work? lol
Are you also looking into... maybe financing a car? Cuz I really really like the new Audi A1, and the A3. -------------------- |
