Haven't ever gone as far as replacing seals on the Celica...
But I found an oil leak today coming from around the timing belt somewhere...I figure I'll do the belt and water pump while I'm at it...and replace all the seals while it's opened up. On my list, I have - Timing Cover Gasket Timing Cover Seal Water Pump Gasket Timing Belt Water Pump Coolant. Just replaced my thermostat and thermostat gasket so I'm good there. Do I have everything covered? This is a pretty bad leak..I gotta get it taken care of. Thanks in advance, guys. This post has been edited by Spitrod: Sep 21, 2008 - 11:22 PM |

QUOTE Timing Cover Gasket Timing Cover Seal That wont stop your leak. You're probably leaking from the cam seals. Do your valve cover gasket as well. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

Might as well replace your front main and oil pump seals why you're in there.

I probably over do my maintenance but if I were you I'd do the oil pump too while you're in there. You should be golden if you do all of that stuff corectly tho.

Might as well replace your front main and oil pump seals why you're in there. there is nothing called the "front main", there's a rear main seal that's on the other side of the block. the oil pump seal is sometimes called the front pump seal, the crankshaft seal is in front of the housing for the front pump seal and to do the front pump seal you need to remove the housing so you'd also need the housing gasket and some FIPG. And there is only one camshaft seal. This is a 5S we're talking about Art, not a 3S those timing cover seals are not necessary at all.
