LOL you want half of what, there HORSEPOWER.......me 2 Hux racing does/make all there own EVERYTHING. They are forever testing, creating, and exploring new parts for the 3SGTE to further better it all the time. They tend to take the road less traveled. There most recent "contribution" to the community was testing the limits of a STOCK GEN3. Only modifications were 3'turbo back exhaust, and there own custom 4" intake. With race gas and a modified Internal wastegate, they were able to push the STOCK GEN3 to 24psi resulting in 350whp/350ftlbs! Like I said they are a real asset to the 3SGTE community. I know the huxes A guy that was in my crew for while with a MR2T from Florida [back when the Huxes were based out of FL] was one of their very good friends. I've spoken with Emily many times and I've also sent them my old Gen IV motor. Are you saying they tuned that beautiful curve? Hmmm... I'm smelling a road trip in my future. [BTW - I was joking about the 500/500 earlier - My goal is well known to be a rather modest 300HP/300+tQ @wheels on no more than a CT-27 or equivalent CT-26upgrade /Gen II motor (obviously with fuel upgrades and water Meth added to what I already have] This post has been edited by DEATH: Oct 15, 2008 - 6:58 AM -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. And if you are not crazy about relying on meth, maybe just slap on a GEN3 head and a CT20B, FCD and you will also be 300+ whp 300 ftlbs at 20-21 psi. Not so much telling you what to do, I just thought I would mention it. I am sure there are a lot of 3s guys out there with the same power goal who may not know there options. --------------------

Thanks for the options bro. I've already had a 30K mile CT-20b and that thing was already fubared running at stock boost - no thanks.
However - the rest of your list should get me to the 300/300 mark which I already own an SAFC-II and the rest - guess I just need to turn up the boost and do a little tuning Waiting on my Koyo to be repaired which should be ready today, my e153 that I ordered [probably won't wait for that]. EGT and real Oil Pressure gauge and then it's time to dyno for base numbers and then start cranking up the already installed MBC and back to the dyno for tuning. CT-26 with an upgraded compressor wheel ATM. I also have a ceramic one that came with my motor that I was running on for a while. I have one more turbo I'm gonna send out to be made into a CT-27 [but it probably won't be ATS cause I know a place that will do it for half the price with all CNC equipment - same place I'll be getting my baseline and tuned/turned up boost dynos from]

How much horsepower can you get from a 3S-GTE engine is a bad question, but the answer is plenty.
The real question should be How much power can you put down to the road in a USA Toyota Celica with Front wheel drive, McPherson suspension, no LSD, and a maximum tyre size of about 225/35/18? -------------------- Mike W

Hmmm well the answer here ^ should be PLENTY as well. My car has a tire size 225/45/17, I have an LSD with very long gears (which helps in traction and racing) you CAN buy an adjustable suspension, they sell boost controllers that you can control boost by gear, and a set of softer tires. There are plenty of hondas in the 10's that are street cars....they are on the same plat form we are....as well as srt4's, gst's, cobalts, etc....You would be amazed if you saw what times these cars are putting down. The problem with us is that we dwell on that fact that we cant/dont have gt4's over on this side of the pond. If we embraced our platform there is NO reason why we cant put down some serious times like every other FWD car that em brace there platform and learn to work with it. Dont get me wrong, if you put my setup in an MR2 it would put down a faster time....of course. But how often do I really launch the car? How many times have I left a traffic light or stop sign letting the clutch go at 6000 rpms? Very very rarely/never. The car isn't just about making a certain time down the track.....thats just retarded, its about the way the car feels, and what makes you happy. If I run 12.5 and Im against an MR2 with the same horsepower and he runs a 12.1 doesn't mean anything in terms of how the car feels 95% of the time. If I came across that same MR2 on the highway on the ride home and we decided to "play" a bit.......neither one of us would pull on one another. So now my "12.5" car feels like and can run with a "12.1" car. People get caught up on numbers a little to much, I think people need to realize how often they will be in that situation where the launch actually becomes a factor. normal driving with a blast of boost my car is a "12.1" car, accelerating at wot onto the highway is a "12.1" car, a spirited side by side straight line run from a roll my car is a "12.1" (wow which is also what most street races are, not that it was what I was referring to, much just caught my attention lol) If you plans are to have the FASTEST anything, dont bother because somebody will have more money/time/resources to be faster. If you like your celica and wont to modify it because you like the way it looks but wish it had some get up and go to it, but dont do it because all you read is FWD this and FWD that......I SAY GO FOR IT, I am. I know I wont have 100% out of my car because it is FWD, but I will have 100% out of my car 95% out of the time. Besides there is nothing better than getting smoked on the launch and having enough power to catch, pass, and all out spank the competitor........ITS MY FAVORITE.
Kinda like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjGIFMM7Pn4 OMG was that a honda (fwd) beating a GT4 (awd) OMG it can happen --------------------

Here is a good example of what I mean when I say AWD doesn't mean that you are unbeatable. It defiantly HELPS when building an all out street machine, and have a prayer of getting through winters and having something somewhat decent in bad weather, but its not a necessity. This video shows the kind of racing/driving most of us do on a regular basis. Or the kind of conditions that we would be faced in 95% of the time against another "enthusiast." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZ-VGRAacf8...feature=related Im not bashing AWD here, because it is always nice to have, but I am certainly giving FWD the credit it deserves. At the VERY LEAST, it should never be counted out. --------------------
