Nobody does currency exhanges without some form of charge. Either they sneak it in your overall account fee, or they'll do the exchange a rate which favours them.

However, if you're already paying that account fee, doing the exchange won't cost you more. Guaranteed, banks, particularly if you're a member, cost less than a commercial exchange.

If you have a AMEX card I believe you can go out to there stores and do the exchange for a small fee or free.

I hate BOA due to their rude customer support. Not friendly at all. I guess because my saving balance is so low and insignificant that customers like me don't mean **** to them.

I hear horror stories of BOA. Maybe you should try Wells Fargo, which is the 2nd if not the 1st largest bank in America. Me? I just bank at credit unions, can never go wrong with them unless you travel a lot. I just pay fees when I go places and swipe my card because I can give two $#!ts sometimes. Or carry a buttload of cash (just by that I mean over what I need) when I leave out of town. Just don't pick up any strange women or ladies don't pick up strange men, because they might rob ya.

Oh man seriously, I could really go on and on about BofA. I think CAMAricer summed it up pretty well though. Actually he hit it right on the head except to say that they're also doodie heads. tongue.gif Eff them and eff the Feds for bailing out doodiehead corporate bankers.
