17 x 7 45 mm offset. am i right.

do they look sucked in? are u running spacers. I have similar rims from a Matrix M Theory same offset. I am planning on buying 215/40 but im afraid to have my wheels look funny. I just stumbled accross with the fact that scion wheels have same offset. So i decided to ask the experts. biggrin.gif

edit : added below

the 7th gen gts, 16x 6.5 39 mm sucks the wheel about the same but has good clearance on the inside. so do they look bad?

planning kumho ast 215/40

This is what i got from WannabeGT4.

"If this is true a 15-20mm spacer is the largest I'd suggest since you're lowered. If you were at stock height a 25-30mm spacer would be perfect."

Im running scion TC, lowered.

well, i guess i wont mount them yet then, i have to buy spacers, well i dont really like the idea. i was hoping to do it without spacers. does anybody think 5mm spacers will clear me of rubbing, i hate the idea of longer studs....

i dont think 5mm spacers are gonna do a whole lot as far as looks...

i would just mount them as they are, put on some 225/40 tires, kumho tires are good for the money, but i vote you spend a little bit more for some nicer tires that arent going to wear as fast/easily. ast's and most kumho tires have too soft of a compound for daily driving

i think you should get the ones that smoke differnt colors, like red:

if your wheels are at a +45 offset, a 15mm spacer would be good, however I believe anything over 10mm spacers require extended studs. 5mm spacers alone will still give it that "sucked in" look.

You wont rub. My car is lowered and it doesn rub. It only rubbed when i was slammed in the rear. The tires rubbed against the coilovers.

well we get that sucked in look from factory, anyways.

I just dont want tire rubbing if im going to be doing 215/40. on a 45 offset. if i can bring the offset to 39, with 5 - 7mm spacers i would not mind to look sucked in.

Ill wait lil longer, better do right the first time. wink.gif Ill start researching a lil more on spacers...

sugarfree, are you running spacers, looks like you are... tongue.gif

Hey guys, I had an offer to buy a 06 Scion TC rims with tire size 215 45 17

I just need new rims to replace my current GT rims (because one got bent) I just wanna clarify if I'm gonna have any clearance issue if I install this? I don't want to to do any spacers or anything of some sort. I just want remove my GT, install these without nay issues at all. no rubbing etc.. Will it be okay?

BTW i'm on plain ole stock suspension

Running 225/45/17's on my TC wheels and I don't rub, lowered 1.5" all around. I'd recommend the 225's over the 215's.

GotToyota how long has your car been lowered, is it completely settled? I'm looking at some tires, I want 225/45/17 too but was concerned about them rubbing as well once I lowered it 1.5" as well
