Damn, Can I have a drive of ur car bro? I wanna try beams! Side by side man, U should leave me in the dust... 98 BZ-R beats 96 SS-III but 98 SS-III beats 98 BZ-R ... I think anyways... My flatmate got Levin BZ-R, seems a bit quicker than mine.. We never raced tho, We wanna go to Meremere sum time.. and our other mate with Spec-S S15....

Oi wot u guys think??? My 3S-GE should be able to take a SR20 in a Qtr aye?? Specs say my car has higher max hp, equal weight, and fwd vs rwd (drivetrain loss)

Or is the 6 speed rear wheel gonna take me??

your basic engine mods: airfilter, as for the exhaust I'd go for the 2.25 or if you go for 2.5 get some silencers in it (ive heard/riden in a SS-I with a 2.5, very/to loud)
suspension: springs/coilovers
rims: you've already got

sounds: i'd go alpine (if you have an ipod, stereo ipod control, is good) speakers 6.5" and sub if you want it

body: dont do anything, its sexy the way it is thumbsup.gif

Random parts: clear side repeaters (trademe) new interior lights, gauges etc
then if your going NA power HCR and TRD VVT-i camshafts biggrin.gif

Who told you to do that? To the best of my knowledge the Celica ECU(s) use unflashable ROM, so are unable to be 'chipped'. In any case, it's unlikely that a manufacturer is going to 'chip' their car for you wink.gif

Ha Thanks for all your replies. Awesome to have so mush support. Just came back from getting my CV boots replaced. They had completely broken off and I had been riding like that for 6 months. Anyway I asked my mechanic what to install to increase the performance. He said I should put in a new exhaust system, Performance chip which he thinks can be installed, I don't know but I guess we will find out when I take the car to Toyota and a better air filter. I am defiantly putting in more sound. I have a pioneer radio and speakers so I will probable stick with pioneer. Just need to get 2 x 12" subs and 2x 6x9s. I think 2 X 12"s should be load enough.

Now for Location I recommend Taupo pretty central for everyone. Anyone else got any other places?
as for when: End of Feburary or March (out of the way of Xmas etc)

I dont know about track usually cost quite a bit to hire a track then you have to have your car set up for track helmet, overalls, fire extinguisher etc

I hadn't really thought of what we could do. maybe meet up, go for a curise, check out everyones ride?

Hi all, being a new owner I would be keen to meet up... especially if in North Island.
Heading to track/strip would be pretty cool as well.

right moving on

Trying to come up with dates here
so its going to be in the weekend (for shcool kids if there are any here?) if this date doesn't fit anyones I can change it. (we dont have to be there 3 days, its just an idea)

6th (Friday), 7th (Saturday) & 8th (Sunday) of March @ Taupo

now I haven't looked at accommodation yet (I don't know what peoples budgets are) also proberly no track. It cost quite a bit to hire taupo, but if you want me to then I will http://www.tauporacetrack.co.nz/home.htm

also Clint or MercuryFree can you post something on Toyspeed about this meet (since I also know you are members there) and would be cool to get more guys coming.

hey Rusty sorry i haven't posted something up earlier been super busy coming up to xmas and all

i think this is a real cool idea however March might not be such a good time as you see i'm Working in the Toyota Racing Series and might no be able to make these dates but i am keen to see a weekend planned

i think you are on the right track i for our first ever meet we shouldn't do a trackday as costs for this would be thru the roof and at the current state of things maybe not such a great idea but we'll put that away untill we have a few more cars

i also think that this should be Celica only as thats the whole idea in th first place even if it was a one day affair for starters like meet at a location show off our cars then grab a feed or go for a cruise to get a feed and that would be about it. if we keep thing simple cost will be low and hopefully interest will be high.

those are just a few ideas so for i'll have more time to work on this after xmas

oh and rusty looks like i'll be in Napier around the 22nd of December after racing at Manfeild on the 21st so if you aren't doing anything you should cruise down and check out the racing.

cheers
