I was searching for a painter for my bodykit and came across this "Veilside bumper - DB9/Vantage taillight" concept.

I think it looks quite neat but it doesnt look smooth on this bumper imo. They did a really good job though and the interior is also done by those guys! The bumper has been integrated to the car, just awesome!!!

Nice idea, but looks poor imo. It just finishes in the middle of nowhere and the side view looks bad.

Maybe good to add a body-coloured centre piece to the JDM tails though. hmmmm.

Props on the work though. Looks well done.

I like the seats, not sure about the rest of the interior...I'm too much of a fan of black interiors. biggrin.gif

The side and rear just looks either bland or unfinished...it needs something.

I remember a thread a couple years ago from the member Madmods on here, about the design of those taillights. I'll see if I can dig it up

would be better if both cars didnt have that oversized kit and the spoiler. also maybe higher on the white one and kinda more towards the center on the yellow one. good idea none the less

Yea, very freaking awesome interior work! Please let us know if you decide to mass-produce those interior fabrics....

As for the DB9 light? eh.... tongue.gif

That tail light conversion could have been done so much better. Why do people always put their conversions so low when they are obviously supposed to flow with the bottom line of the trunk lid. I've seen it done with supra lights as well and it just looks like total ass. The interior looks pretty good though with the exception of the wrinkled area by the driver's side vent.

I agree about the lights ending nowhere. If they could have modified the bumper to accommodate the license plate thingie, and modified the license plate part so the lines flow with the rest, it would've been better IMO. As to the quality of the work, it looks pretty good - mine is just an aesthetic preference.

I also really love the interior - again, I'm super picky though, and it REALLY bothers me that the black leather isn't black enough - it doesn't match the black carpet well and the seat belt in the rear sticks out oddly because the blacks don't match. I'd want the leather to be darker and the seatbelt fabric dyed black (since it's faded) if possible. I hate when stuff "almost" matches but doesn't quite get there. Overall though, those seats and the trim looks gorgeous. I wish I could see it in person.

No.

It's a nice idea, but no.

Maybe if somebody made some similar taillights for a 6th Gen, it would be alright. But those taillights were obviously designed for another car and just don't belong on the rear end of a Celica.

Just so this post isn't completely negative, I like the interior. I'm not liking the white panels, but I like those seats a lot.

This is how it should have been done. You can't tell me that's not sexy:

^ exactly what I was thinking WannabeGT4. most taillight conversions i see put them low, maybe a clearance issue? got to be a reason because it looks so much better up flush with trunk

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
