I give our route a 9/10 since we didn't get to experience the longer route to Marble Falls and I give overall organization a solid 1.5/10.

yeah the route was fun - it's a shame we didn't have enough daylight to do the longer route from Marble Falls back to Austin.
when we have a celica meet in the spring, we will do that super twisty route (i kept the map) & we will be much more organized & more together.

i'm just glad we all stuck together as a group & enjoyed ourselves on the roads.
the DFW MKIII Supra guys let the disorganization ruin the day for them when all they had to do was enjoy the lovely scenery & tarmac rally style route.

looking forward to seeing those vids zero & thanks again so much for the badge! biggrin.gif

Now that I think about it, after going through that route, I now know why Ferrari, Lambo, Aston Martin, etc. are using paddle shifters.

Ripley - I have an idea of how bad my knock is. Whenever I go over a moderate bump in the road or whatnot at a reasonable speed, I can hear it clacking. smile.gif Angled downhill at a reasonable angle with the oil pushed towards the front of the pan, I can hear it clack. smile.gif

paddle shifters can be convenient - joe's legs are pretty stiff today. i offered to drive but he wanted to do it all so now he's all cramped up redface.gif

Alex - so sorry to hear about the rod knock frown.gif
are you going to rebuild the motor or just try to get another one & then possibly turbo it?

i would consider turbo-ing the 5s in the Camry but there is a motor mount right in the way & i would have to have a really silly custom DP made just to clear that ... it's SO much easier in a Celica b/c you can use 3sgte stuff without too much custom work.
turbo-ing my motor would cost about the same as a 1mz swap & for me a 1mz bolts right up w/no fuss, but i don't want to toss a 5sfe with only 40k miles on it & no issues.
