Forum Rules Welcome to the 6G Celicas forums! These forums are designed to provide the sixth generation Celica community with a safe, helpful, friendly place to discuss their cars. 1. Keep your posts clean. These forums, like the rest of the site, are designed to be a family-safe environment, and that means that you must watch your use of obscenities. This also means not attacking others in your posts. You must respect everyone here. If you're not going to post something helpful or respectful, don't post. This also means no pornography, sexist, racist, hateful, or illegal content as well. Thanks! And your calling him the ignorant one.... someone with enough money to afford a set of wheels Before making another ignorant comment like that, you might wanna consider that I'm a high school student with not much cash to spare, and additionally there might be a replacement at the end of the year and I'm not gonna put rims on the Celica if she'll be gone by the end of the year. So please, STFU. Common sense. This post has been edited by 1bwilson: Nov 3, 2008 - 5:32 PM -------------------- Member of Team 5sfTe

wow another argument involving rickjames.thats surprising
rickjames I think your the last one to be calling anyone ignorant. If i remember right you recently started a post on how often to change engine oil, which then led to you basicaly asking for step by step directions on HOW to change oil.... "I know it's an elementary question, but I just need some opinions. I've put around 4000 miles on her and I'd like to keep everything as spry as possible, so therefore I'm going to have the oil changed regularly. How many of you do it on your own, and how easy is it to do? I'm guessing I won't need more than a catch pan and a couple tools. Also, I know it's not "totally" necessary to do this a lot, but it's not abnormal to change it every 3000 miles, even if the oil light hasn't come on yet?" really? never knew the oil light tells you to change your oil... I thought it mean TURN CAR OFF NOW! that said you obviously dont know the basics yet. Despite that you feel the need to litter threads with snide comments or just be rude in general. Im not bashing the fact that your trying to learn, im just commenting on the fact that you talk down on people when you are in no position to. got carried away. I dont usually want to be mean
but just look at half of his posts. He's either insulting someone of being obnoxious. This post has been edited by enderswift: Nov 4, 2008 - 1:53 PM -------------------- |

And being obnoxious is what I do, not necessarily my fault if I offend people here.
That said, whatever, my apologies. I should know that the oil light is for pressure, but I'm no way mechanical so if I was planning to do this, I think I have the liberty of at least asking. But I barely ever "insult" just to do it, that's definitely exaggerated. |

don't worry, some cars do have a oil lamp that comes up to notify you to change the oil soon (like Chrysler and some MB)
