Personaly, IDFC WTF happends... Who ever gets voted in will probably be shot with in a few months time. No offense to anyone's team here, but there will be sore loosers on either side of this fence.

BTW:

Hahaha yes!

I have to agree with most people both of them i hate so basically voted for the lesser of two evils here.

Oh well tough cookies. We have a new president and thank god people finally made the RIGHT decision this year. People decided to wise up...My OPINIONS still stand. Not my fault that the people who voted Bush the last 2 years voted for the devil and was ultimately the downfall for this country. Im guessing you were one of the many that voted Bush...i feel sorry for you.

I can give you a couple: for the first time since I have been old enough to pay attention to the elections (Past 3? elections), I saw people across this country participate in the election process with enthusiasm and excitement. The youth of this country participated in record numbers, hell, the entire population of this country participated in record numbers. That alone is bigger than which candidate won. It is also important that he won decisively, his victory will not go to court, it will not drag on for days, for the first time in 8 years, the president truly has the mandate of the people. It looked like there was 1 million people in Grant Park, it was an amazing sight compared to McCain's "Invitation Only" party. In Detroit, people flooded the streets in peaceful celebration. If ANYTHING, Obama has brought hope to this country. He may not be the most qualified person to lead this country, but that is why you surround yourself with the right people.

Hope & Enthusiasm? That is the reason that Obama is the best bet?

Now, My question was direct to Shogun to see if he's done his presidential candidate research. I see that you haven't either. Nice. I'm not saying he's the wrong candidate, I'm not saying he's the right candidate. I'm just asking if shogun did his research. Thank you for fathering my point. thumbsup.gif

presidential election != Local elections.
and those reasons are...disappointing.

You could have an animal lead the country with the right people surrounding them using that philosophy, and the whole "part of history" coming from those 30 and under is frustrating when life expectancy doesn't rule them out for waiting for a BETTER candidate to be the first.

I may read this again, may not...i dont want to post again, but if i get emotional enough i'll prob have to.

Obama won the election, we got that. IF he will turn out to be the right guy is still uncertain, because he isnt the president yet! I grow tired of people saying he is this, he is that, he is the best, whatever, untill he can turn our financial situation around, and find a good resolution for iraq he isnt anything. And he isnt our president yet. He has promised us alot of stuff, like most politicians do, lets see if he can follow through on them, then in 4+ years we can have this talk about how he was or wasn't the right guy. untill then fighting about it is pointless

1) McCains choice as VP speaks volumes. He chose an inept Governor that clearly had no idea what she was talking about. He's decided to run with an inept partner...god only knows what other inept politicians he wouldve surrounded himself with if he did win office.

2) Throughout debates, McCain has said that he was not like Bush. Yet they both have similar views on our economy today. On 09/15/08 he states: "the fundamentals of our economy are strong." hmmm. if the fundamentals of our economy is so great and strong, then whats wth the economy in this country today? Care to explain unemployment rates? This assinine comment tells me that he's totally out of touch with reality

3) Foreign Relations: Obama clearly becomes a more appealing candidate to our allies overseas. Bush has done a complete sh**job in this department. Clearly, there is much more support for Obama than there would be McCain.

I wouldve preferred to have had Hillary as prez but oh well. Obama > McCain.

You're exactly the kind of person I love to speak to in real life. The last year and a half or so, I've actively followed all the candidates. I can tell you right now, that I could sit down with you, face to face, and tell you all the views of all the candidates. I guarantee that there are at least a few hundred things I can tell you about all the candidates, that you don't have the slightest idea about. I've been to a Palin rally AND an Obama rally, I've followed it ALL. You are clearly demonstrating that you have a vague understanding of things political. And English, for that matter. Without running to some other website, can you tell me what a Governor does? Could you also explain to me a Governor's role in Washington DC/Congress/National Politics? Do you know WHY Palin seemed out of the loop? Also, do you know WHY McCain picked her, because, let me tell you, there is a real reason. Left and Right media have addressed it. In response to your number 2, do you know what the word 'fundamentals' mean?

Also, Obama or McCain, we have enemies overseas that we cannot ally with. It will never happened. Certain countries will _always_ hate America. And no matter who we voted in, we will be in Iraq for years and years to come. We've spent billions upon billions getting over there and building permanent installations, we won't waste that money. We WILL stay in the Middle East for oil-related reasons. Our only hope for oil is the middle east, or more domestic drilling. BOTH of which Liberals are up in arms over.

I'm writing an essay right now on why I did not vote for Senator Obama. I will post it here. It is prefaced with a section that addresses how I do admire him, and understand his significance as far as our history goes. But it also talks about how I think he backpedals, his views are skewed, and he will ultimately make our taxes increase, our cost of living rise, and our deficit increase. If you'd like, i can write one on McCain. In fact, I have this whole week off, so I could write one for Hillary, Thompson, Romney, and Ron Paul too.

Half of Obama voters don't even know why they voted for Obama, which saddens me deeply.
