that's weird on the gauges ... the DSD-SLMII's that we have light up a nice deep red at nite.

That's what I'm thinking. When they do the warning thing do they change color cause notice the sticker says "A.Red" - Amber/red? My turbo timer does that - it's annoying cause I wish it was the exact opposite [normally red but blinks orange].

yeah ours say A.Red too but from looking at vids on youtube the X-Line gauges def. light up more of a amber/orange color.
i can show you a couple pics of the DSD SLMII that we have... hard to capture the color on camera.   it doesn't look that light colored in real life as it does in the 2nd pic, but i guess there is a amber hint to it slightly ... it matches better in real life i think. our hks turbo timer is also orange which sux big time

Same one I have. Maybe one of the electronics wizes here can figure out how to reverse that.
I was looking at those exact gauges but they were $200 each so I went for these instead - guess I'm gonna have to take them back and bite the bullet and pay more

Get a set of Prosport gauges. Their red is actually red. All of the STI guys to it to match the rest of the OEM red lighting. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

With my gauges I was able to change out my bulb...I got red leds in there now...is it possible to do that with the gauges you bought? I can take a pic of mine tomorrow.
Love the updates...ooo and I wanna see the carpet done

Nah - not on mine - they're internally lit by several well placed small LEDs so they light evenly.
Damn - which ones are those? They are the autometer sport comp....then I bought the red leds from Culpable04 and switched out the white ones...I need to get a matching wideband...been thinking about a few....I think I am always buying something for my car.

Yea I think they do..autometer has a bunch of different styles..I personal like simple like just the black with added color..Im not into all the fancy ones..I think it looks much more professional when its left simple.
Here is a link to the products for the sport comp..they do have sport comp II but I am not sure the difference. They are the Pyrometers at the bottom http://autometer.com/cat_gaugelist.aspx?si...id=1&szid=2 I guess one goes a little higher then the other..one gauge goes to 14 or 15 and the other to 9. I also not sure the prices but I can look. oo actually they have 3 different ones. here is a sport comp II for sale on ebay... It's running just fine and dandy. The middle strut is the strut that does not contact the firewall, and it's BRIGHT red. You cant miss it. It's also hand made.
