Mine's the 1st so I can celebrate mine a lttle late if that's the deal

May? Anyone game for May? I'm driving down to Vegas in May (I don't remember the date I have to be there but I can find out) and was planning to make a really really big circle by continuing on to Houston for a few days There's no way I could make it in March or April though, because it's May that I HAVE to be in Vegas for a thing for my mom, and plus, the passes are still really snowy in March/April and there's no way to get out of western Oregon without going over a mountain range.

I'm down - would be cool to get Griffy together with her true crew mates

It won't be too hot in May + it would allow everyone who wanted to go to TX2K9 to have enough time to save money for gas/food/etc.
Besides the fact, if we push it back to May chances are much higher that Vadar would be ready to go by then.

Question is will we be able to keep up with Vadar by then?

I will not be keeping up with anyone. I'll show up at the final meet place an hour later with my top down and stereo blaring as usual

woohoo! After May 10th is great! I'll find out for sure when I need to be in Las Vegas, and just how far Houston is from Vegas. That'll give me an idea of when I should be able to be in Houston by.

Remember though that this is all entirely contingent on if I have enough gas money for this whole trip. As for keeping up with anyone, well... I'll be in back with D-Man

I've got an ST and actually kept pretty close around the twisties, its just the straight aways you gotta worry about lol

but not to worry, I'll keep all of the beer in a cooler in my car, so if they want one, we wont have to keep up with them, they'll have to wait on us

So true....so true, i love that run.

exactly. especially on that super twisty route which we will do this time.
if you have a decent suspension & know the limits of your car everyone is pretty level, so hp (or lack thereof) is only an issue in straightaways.
of course AWD + LSD can also lend a helping hand

hah - I was gonna suggest, that sometimes having a faster car doesn't always depend on the engine, the driver plays a part in it too (and I'm a damn good driver)

Or will I...? May is a long ways away to save up some $$ and to get things done.

What's funny is that my car's been knocking for about 3 years now and I've done this cruise twice in one year so far without any problems. As Death said, "That is one Frankenstein of a motor."
