Has anyone else ever had problems with their bearings going out a lot? My front passenger side ones have gone out 5 times in the 2 years I've owned the car. Is it a '94 thing? I really hate this because I spent so much on just the fckn bearings.

I have to do both sides on mine this weekend. And I need to do the strut bearings.make sure you are replacing your wheel seals as well.
I have a 94 too btw. Erich This post has been edited by Badkarma: Nov 18, 2008 - 4:38 PM |

Are you doing the repair work yourself or taking it to the same shop each time?
IMO take it to a different shop, it sounds like whoever has done the repairs doesn't know what they're doing. Or you have a bent hub or something that is putting extra strain on the bearings. *EDIT* Of the Celica's I've owned, my 94 and 95 both got front bearings on both sides replaced at around 130k miles. If you don't get the hub nut torqued correctly then you'll just eat the bearing up. This post has been edited by blu94gt: Nov 19, 2008 - 10:30 AM -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

Well since I had a warranty on them I went to the same place a couple of times for free. Then they cancelled the warranty on me so I took the assembly off myself and brought it somewhere else, so far so good. And the first place told me that they were not sealed bearings and didnt need grease, wtf?
