hey brothers i just wanted to get an idea of what cone filter to use. im just looking for best performing air filter. i was kinda thinking about the weapon r dragon. but i would like to see your input.

From all the propoganda I've read the Apex'i is the best all around for filtration and performance but the K&N is so close behind it the difference is negligable. I think the older HKS style ones were known to have very poor filtration but I've heard since they have addressed that major issue. I'd say get the Apex'I for the name brand and trust factor but feel completely comfortable with the K&N.

my old celica had the injen intake, worked well. And overall even though one intake might filter better than another, or allow more air into the engine the HP difference is minimal so i would not worry to much about....thats just my two cents...

filters are universal...just make sure the size is the same as the pipe.

thanx guys. i ran across spectre p4 poweradder and had gotten it for its custom build piping and the filter seems to be almost a copy of k&n. it fits great, sounds great and i got it b 4 i read all of these. so if i figure out its not that good ill just get an apexi. i just want ur guys imput on the spectre. good? bad?

They work just fine. Been using them on friend's cars since they came out.
