I am planning on setting up an fmic, I got the core and a universal piping kit, but I was looking on ebay and I saw that they have an m-spec intercooler kit for an st185 st205. They have it up for $399 + $52 for shipping. I am just wondering if it would be better to get this kit for my car or use what i have, if you want to check it out just type in st205 on ebay and it should come up.

Over priced. Go with what you have, but you will need either more bends or 90 degree couplers to help with better fitment. That intercooler in the kit is probably the same core you've got assuming you went cheap like me. Ebay intercooler special hahaha.

Cheap E-Bay intercoolers are crap...better than a 185 top mount, but not better than a 205 charge cooler....they suffer from bad flow rates...pressure drops, they are heavy and a generally bad design......99% of GT4 owners who go down this route opt for a Mitsubishi Evo Core...easily and cheaply available from Evo Owners clubs and E-bay and not a bad design either.

A cheap core will probably do you no favours at all.

Depending on what power you want to run, what boost you want and what you use your car for, your probably better off keeping or getting an st205 charge cooler and lagging the bottom of it to help stop heat soak.

Or do what I did and design / make your own charge cooler smile.gif
