i may.. all i need to get will after that will b the fuel pump, clutch, and the intercooler.. the seller is saying to get the side mount intercooler, they cost more but they look easier to install rather than the rear mount or top mount

from all of my experiances, awd actually takes away from your power. not to mention all tha trotating mass and weight to lug around at speeds above 40mph when traction is no longer an issue.

i sure hope you dont boost the **** outta that 3s and end up sending something through the hood of your car. would be sad to see such a good engine go to waste

Yes sidemount FTW - come on man - you really can't be this clueless if you're gonna make this work for you. Like everyone has been trying to tell you since you joined - DO YOUR RESEARCH. Know what you are getting into before you get started.

im doing research now.. i havent bought anything.. thats why i was asking.. i asked for opinion on turboing the 5s.. not buying that turbo kit..

I didn't check the link but alot of these "Turbo Kits" come from the MR2 guys - this is probably why he told you to get a sidemount intercooler. You want a FMIC for this project - it works well and is sort of an install it and forget about it thing.

oh ok.. i had that feeling.. but it looks hella difficult to install that.. but i mite as well.. sicne the rear mount is cheaper so do you think that turbo kit is legit? b/c i will actually have the time and materials to do a turbo kit.. i ahve winter break comming up so i can round up some friends and start it up

Bro, really... wtf is a rear mount intercooler?
Its really clear that you have done zero research into this as you dont even understand the basics.
Save yourself a headache and a blown motor. You are nowhere near ready to do a swap or a turbo kit.
And I mean this in the nicest way possible.

I can't agree more with Lagos,

and yes it is a legit turbo kit. basic bolt on, perfect project for winter to break, get some friends that are into cars, just like you and give it a shot. this will be an experience you'll never forget, and you'll learn a lot.

It's an MR2 thing - applied to a Celica it would be rediculous to the extreme.
