Those are two good reasons for your car to be confiscated.

Your shifter is loose and you somehow manage to bump it from D to R because you are a complete dumbass... next thing you know you're going sluggishly forward, yet at 50 mph, but your tires are squeeling because they're in reverse and you're like OH SH!T and you realize what just happened but are grateful that A) No one was looking; B) You were on wet pavement; C) You didn't drop the brand spanking new transmission you spent 3 days putting in just a few weeks earlier; and finally D) that you're not only driving a Toyota, but it's a 4Runner and had you bit it, at least you were in a big car to provide you with a few more inches between the top of your head and the pavement.

Oh crap, did I just say all that out loud? laugh.gif

Yes. FAIL FAIL FAIL. EPIC FAIL.

My friend accidentally put my car into N when we were on a cruise last year. Next thing I know, I'm on the gas and slowing down kindasad.gif. Good thing I caught it quickly and went back to D.

Oh that won't hurt your car. My older cousin used to do it to me just to piss me off. laugh.gif Then we'd get into a fist fight while driving down the frwy. kindasad.gif

Drive to neutral in an auto is one thing. Your trans will let you do that. But you have to have the brake on to shift into reverse, so I'm curious how that "accidentally" happened. And D-Man, I think getting into a fist fight on the freeway might just be your best Celica moment laugh.gif For some reason, I can just see you driving along and not just getting into some regular fight, but something more like this:

EDIT: Yes, I know that posting that link is a fail, but I can see D-man getting himself into something like that laugh.gif

^ Yeah that...not only does the brake have to be applied, but there's also a locking mechanism that won't allow you to shift into reverse or park when the car is in motion.

Yeah, pretty much, but mind you i'm this lil 6ft 150lb guy and my cousin is 7'2 weighin in at 230-240's and we were in a damn 03' Pontiac Sunfire going home (as we both worked construction together at the time) so i was the chicken and got my ass kicked (plus i was driving so i had to call truse; and still take the sucker punch that followed in fear of wrecking. frown.gif )

My cousin was a bastard. mad.gif

No...that's by far the best response I've ever had.

a wide body integra...? dude celicas are so much better than integras.

It's a joke, don't you guys get it? Someone who mistakes a celica for another car just makes it more worthwhile to drive the 6gc. Uniqueness and standing out of the crowd.

I could see how someone not knowing what I drive would make it more "exotic," but I wouldn't necessarily want it compared to an Integra...although the headlight arrangement does look similar.

I think the Integras are hideous compared to the Celica. Our cars have great body lines, whereas the Integra's lines are subtle to nonexistant. Their headlights are too small for me. That's just my opinion. I'd still love to have a type R though biggrin.gif

At least you guys don't get "Hey, that's a sharp-looking Tiburon you've got there!" once a week. Please don't compare my 'Yota to that Hyundai piece of s***! Lol

Yes, I'm hatin' on the Hyundai's.

FAIL FAIL FAIL

Not on a 4Runner with old shifter handle bushings. Anyway you didn't have to have your foot on the brake to shift into reverse. Park, yes, and to release it from park, yes.

Anyway, it was an accident! Geeze! Don't I get ONE stupid chick driving thing in my life? laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
