I'm definitely going to install this when I get home. Does Windows Update and all the sort work?

You can always alter that through regedit, that's what I did with Vista and XP (made it 5 seconds instead of 30).

BTW, make sure you guys install this...
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/01/08/f...pdate-download/

There is a bug in media player that will cut off parts of your mp3 files (the actual files on disk). So install it before playing any mp3s.

For faster shutdown:

Go to run and type in regedit.

From there, go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE", then "SYSTEM". From there, you will see ControlSet001, ControlSet003, and CurrentControlSet. On each one, click to expand them and click control. After this you will see options in the window, right click "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" and choose modify, change it to "5000". This changes the shutdown time to 5 seconds instead of 30.

For faster bootup:

Go to run and type in msconfig.

Go to the "BOOT" tab, and you will see a timeout window with "30" in there, change it to "3".

This works on both Vista and XP.

I rock a solid state disk, so my bootup times are already super fast!

Screen shots. Let me know if you want something specific.

Resource usage on my small 1.6Ghz atom and 2GB RAM (if you can't read it, it says 02% CPU, 34% RAM)

Disregard the performance scoring. I haven't even ran it, so it says my system sucks. (Yes my system is called Verne, because it's a mini tongue.gif )
