Ok so today sucked. I was driving down the street when this jerk in a Ford F-350 decides that he wants to drive down the middle of the road when taking a turn. So long story short he forced me off the road and I spun out hitting a tree, totally smashing in my driver side door. The car still runs good thank good, and it doesnt bump, or pull in any direction so Im pretty sure the frames good. But anyway does anyone know how much it'll cost me around to get it fixed, Im not looking for an exact price just an estimate. Thanks guys.

Ouch, It looks like you need a whole new complete door and the bottom of the car where the door goes seems to be bent pretty bad. If you decide to take it in, more than likely the auto insurance guy would say your car is salvaged. I dunno but I'm thinking repairs would be around 3-4K if you take it to a dealer that does 100% guarantee repairs and paint. If you decide to DIY, your looking at around 400-700 depending on how much a whole new complete door costs and paint, plus pulling out that dent on the bottom which seems tuff. BTW did you catch that f@g that drove you off the road? Most of the times if I'm by myself and somone tried to drive me off the road I would just hit them, at least they are at fault.

Thanks for the reply man, and nah the guy didnt even bother stopping and I was in a part of town that I dont know. It went through my head for a split second but thats a BIG truck, it probally would have gone over me like a speed bumb, It was all lifted, with those huge monster truck tires. But ya Im probally just going to have to do it myself cause I cant afford the insurance increase. But thanks again man.

..................

I hate douchebags.

I'm with Soulshadow. I just let the people hit me when I know I'm right. The other day I had a green light and as I'm rolling through the intersection, a minivan runs her red light and flips me off as I roll through the intersection. I wanted to slam on my brakes and let her t-bone me. The only thing that stopped me was my girlfriend being in the car, and I had to get her to school. Otherwise I'd be getting a new Celi.

I have no idea what that will cost you to fix, but I'd say more than $5000. Probably more. Just as a reference, this was estimated at $7200.

EDIT: My airbags were also blown. That did raise the cost of repairs, but then again, the spot under your door is going to cost quite a bit to fix.

dang that suck man, i mean just because we got a smaller car those big monster truck guy always think its fun to run us off the road. just the other day a big old ford that look like they were made of metal decide to change line in front of me and i got to run over some grass to avoid being hit or my whole front would of been torned.

anyways im guess that will cost about 5k - 6k of repair.

That sucks! I'm really sorry I looked at the zoomed out picture frown.gif Man, for what it's going to cost to fix that, there was just an immaculate red GT coupe near me that just went up for sale. I think 140,000 miles, but the paint looked just like brand new. I'm familiar with the car. It has been babied.. Tan interior, auto (ftl,) sun roof, all kinds of goodies. It just sold though frown.gif hopefully you can find a way to get your car repaired for dirt cheap though.

OUCH! I'm glad you and your g/f weren't seriously hurt! I agree with richee3, that's going to roughly run you about $4-$5k if you took it into a shop. You could luck out and find the drivers door complete with the window regulators in tact. You'd still have to worry about the pillars too as well as the hinges. Not to mention painting it too. Is your mirror ok?

You sure the frame wasn't bent just a little? From the angle above^^ looks like it may have been damaged.

I got some good news guys. I went to the local junkyard and found a 1997 Celica ST there thats totaled except for the driver side door, the door panels match the interior and its electric. Its only gonna cost me $200 for the door. I got lucky to and my Dad just got a job working for some auto shop and the guy specializes in auto body repair. So there going to put on the door, pop out all the little dents around the car and paint it for free, I just have to buy the paint. I got so lucky, also they looked at it to day and the frame is fine smile.gif Thanks everybody again. You guys are the best.

Nice!!! Glad to hear everything is going to work out for you! Still sucks that you are having to pay for the door and paint, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

EDIT: You should also pull everything valuable that you can off of that totaled Celi and sell yourself some parts to help cover the cost of everything thumbsup.gif
