Would you like cheesecake with that order? rolleyes.gif I'm sure people who have made their homework will go ahead and just give you all the info you need so you don't have to research it yourself...NOT! laugh.gif What's with these recent lazy-asses?

Wow, nice post. Here's an idea for you, if you don't have anything worth posting, why don't you NOT POST. I'm so sick of these "search noob" posts. If you think it's a simple question, then either:

1. Answer it
2. Search and give the link to the answer
3. Click the back button and do something else!

There are forums that to this day I will not visit because of being treated like this. Big loss for those communities, I say. I've spoken with Smaay personally before and I know he has a lot of value that he could contribute to this community.

According to the previous owner of my car (bro-in-law), my block's got JE pistons with a .040 overbore. It's been a while, so he doesn't recall the part number or much other than that.

CP makes them, I have them in my car but they only make them in small batches when there is demand and they know they all will be sold or have already been sold. There is/was a guy on the mr2 boards who would buy 3-4 sets and sell them as people came along asking about them. The bore is stock i believe and the comp is 9:1 I think. Mine are 8.5, they used to make them all 8.5 but the most recent ones I saw were 9 I believe.

Me? I'm considering it, but I've got rod knock and oil burning that I need to take care of around Spring Break or Summer.

Well, long story short, my bro-in-law had the motor built, but the idiot who put it back together forgot some things, so it burns about a quart of oil a week probably from valve stem seals. After a while, he gave the car to my sister, who forgot to check oil level every once in a while, so.....then when the car came to me, it was 2.5 quarts low...so yeah....

This spring break or summer, I'm gonna tear this motor apart and see what's still good then do a mild build back on it.
