I've see the above listed and a few F150 (state troopers) and a new(ish) mustang.

as far as the legality goes I have to say its obviously legal as there are tons of them all over, there usualy easy to point out, if its clean (washed) and tinted and 1 or more extra antenas I assume its a cop.

however there is a law (cant remember the actual name or #) that says cops have to be pernouced (for lack of a better word) says something similer to you cant be cought by a sting unless they have warrent backed by probable cause. but I could be compleatly wrong. I remember hearing a story about a guy who got out of a ticket in traffic court because the cop hid behind a sign or something when he checked.

Not true. Unmarked police cars don't have to have any identification whatsoever, hence the point of being unmarked. Any unmarked police car is just the same as a marked car. They can (and will) pull you over just the same. As far as that guy getting his ticket dropped, he just got lucky. Cops can hide almost wherever they like. The only law concerning that here in Illinois is if they are within 5 feet of a roadway at night, their headlights must be on. Otherwise, they can hide pretty much anywhere.
