I've been looking around seeing the white celica's which btw looking really nice. But the color red on the celica is by far my favorite.

Im not sure if i should get a 96+ bumper or not. But in general which one do you guys like, which appeals to you the most, the best looking?

Keep it red man, reason i say this is because you have a red car. So make it the best darn looking red celica out there. I think it would be a wiser choice to spend what you were going to on a full respray to other cosmetic features or even performance features of the car. That is unless the paint on your car is fading or rust happening in areas.

hmmm ok then. ya i'll probably stay with red thx whatthe. As far as my car's paint goes. i just recently got it painted a year ago. 5 year warranty paint at some place that has alot of shops all over California. Some of the new paint is chipping off towards the bottom of the car. and i can start to see the old red paint. but like 2 months after the paint job i backed up into a pole and did a little damage to the rear rightside quarter panel. Stupid me oh well live and learn.

I was thinking that the next time i paint it i go to a shop with a little more experience. cause they didnt even cover up the inside of the bumper and my radiator, horn and chassis on the inside of my front bumper got painted all red. But i fixed that. chipped off all the red paint and sanded it down and then painted it black.

The next time i paint my car, is it worth it to sand down the whole car to the metal with a machine sander myself or have the shop do it for me??

I was looking at toyotapartsexpress and the 94-95 bumper is $302 and the 96-99 bumper is $290. is this true???

ALSO, what do you guys think of 3M Clear Bra Paint Protection Film?? im looking into that but costs like $300.

You've already got a red Celica, so there isn't much need to have it repainted. It's a waste of money in my opinion. Unless the car just really needs it. I prefer the 96+ bumper, but you can't go wrong either way, since it's still on a Celica. Take the money you would spend on repainting the car, and spend that on getting more power.

What? they didnt cover the inside your bumper painting all that crap too... thats bad i do think. And they just resprayed it over your existing red? woah....
I thought the whole procedure to prep your car was all your car stuff (whatevas in engine bay and interior) and then sand it down to be prepped for respray.

Well if you know what your doing, in my case i dont, i would let the shop take care of it. Up to you man

Whoa... Whatever shop you took the car too last time, don't take it there again. Unless it was a friend doing it for free. Even then... make sure you cover some stuff up. That's a shoddy paint job, if they don't cover anything up and just go to town. My car had paint sprayed on top of old paint on my front bumper before I got it, and now I get to see two layers of paint, both of which are coming off. I'd say let your body shop sand the car down for you, assuming you take it to somebody else.

I like Lukes old car myself. Actually I had that front splitters and bumper before w/o projectors. I did grow fond of the 94 front bumper as I have two spares of them. But I grew tired of the smiley face it gave me. Red is a good color almost painted mine red but I knew it would not make the JDM tails stand out as much as white.

ya man. even my cold air intake got painted red a little, also my previous 14"inch rims did too. it was a cheap place to paint my car. i didn't have much money back then and also if any of you read that thing i posted of me crashing ya. whole back right quarter panel was messed up. they charged me $1300 for everything. ya im going to a place next time that will actually sand down car before they paint it.

Ya if i stay with this 94-95 bumper which i probably will. Im going with the front euro splitter(how much are those?), sideskirts, and trd rear extensions.

just watch out how that combo transitions, euro splitters are thin, sides are decent size, but TRD rears are wider than the sides in terms of flowing, it might not flow right. I think manphibian is the only one that pulled of the euro style nicely. fronts, sides, and wing. I do have a front euro splitter set OEM, and replica ss-III rears from ChrisC. I'm selling both for pretty much 250 shipped and insured. Just waiting for the guys payment.

hmm.. ya well if i decide to keep my bumper im definately going with euro front splitter. and instead of going with trd rear extension i can go with rear ss-III extension. you think that would flow better???

here the pic of oem trd extension vs. chrisc's replica's trd extension. Just not the same. I just like the way the trd flow's into the rear bumper, it feel like ss-3 rear extension just dont flow as well.

and i definitely dont like front trd extension on 94 bumper

The white one. Don't get me wrong I love our red car, but the 6GC is just so smooth and sexy in white.
