Manny presure2 has been using the berk technology one and as far as I no its running good for him...they have a new one with a flex section..that will run you about $300 iirc for the new one with shipping.

I have a 5sfe as my s.n. indicates, and I, too, am working on eventually turbo'ing the 5sfe. There really isnt any difference of what is on the engine, but merely what can be located on her in the mr2 bay. I have talked to a few tuners and have searched with no clear indication of where, if any exist, forged internals for the 5s.
Another thing I am trying to find is stronger axle's, wheel hubs, and a 2 way lsd, and maybe even changing the gearing of the tranny for a little more of a pickup in first gear. I should start with what is, and will be done to her. I bought my 91 mr2 about a week or two ago, i have already been to several tuning shops and the general concensus was to do a jdm engine swap, which is all fine and dandy, if i didnt WANT to keep the already strong toyota block, but methinks they assumed little or no internal work. she has about 172k miles, which is an easy fix if bored, stroked, jacketed (if need be), ported and polished. oh did i mention forged and balanced? but nonthing internal so far. she is getting a custom made ram/cold air intake this week, custom exaust from the catalytic converter mounts down, with a new high flow cat installed as well. stage 3 clutchmasters kit with flywheel will be put in sometime soon, this week or next. grt aerodynamics widebody fenders, most likely to be carbon fiber can be found here with the advent of the custom exhaust, no header mind you, the fabricator, and many others, have stated the mr2 exhaust to not be too restrictive. I do have a free flowing air hosing from spectre or something (complete and utter crap, but works better than regular air box.) and of course the K&N Air filter. The exhaust will be made by american muffler, just outside San-Diego, and the Intake by Revenge Motorsports. I will appreciate any imput, even if its a bashing for being on a celica forum, and not having a celica, but it is a toyota still..... -------------------- 5S-FE.....ftw

mtbuggies.com (MCS motorsports over on mr2oc) can get you whatever forged bits you need.
although for sub 300whp goals, none of it is really needed IMO. (search for my thread about supershannon77's 5sfte for proof) have a talk with scooterman over on mr2oc, he built a very nice mr2 based 5sfte, with megasquirt for tuning. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

I read through your whole thread and it gave me a lot of good information but I own a 99 camry 5sfe, does this info apply to my 99 5sfe? In other words is there a difference between the 6th gen celica 5sfe and the 4th gen camry 5sfe? Can I use the 3sgte turbo manifold, ct26 turbo and oil pan off a 90-93 alltrac celica or mr2 like you did or do I need to get that stuff from a later model celica/mr2

It will all fit just the same. A 5sfe is a 5sfe when it comes to those parts. The only issue you may/will have is when it comes down to come eletrical work. You have a obd2 and Manny has a obd1.

Thats great dude. I think you'll be the first boosted and camed 5sfe on here. It will be interesting to see the gains they provide on a boosted motor.
