Ive got a question would grinding the empty areas of the stock camshaft that have no really connection or pivotal points offer any benefits? I mean it would reduce weight and therefore rotational mass wouldnt that improve performance and efficiency? or would it just serve to weaken the shaft altogether?

I think it would be a lot of work for something you probably won't be able to feel. you'd be better with a set of lightweight rods.

if you are considering this on a stock camshaft...you aren't anywhere near close to making "ltw" camshafts worth anything
and this is not a practical "weight reduction" modification.

It's not just about reducing weight. The camshafts need to be properly balanced and i think grinding would affect that. Other than weaken them..
