Randy you'll appreciate that lens so much more when you go full frame. True 16mm is alot different. I have the 17-40 f4L and I love it so much more on the 5D.

Thanks 808.

Erik, I am looking forward to a ff, I am currently designing a rig to bolt directly
under the celi with a quick release for rolling shots, the 16-35 is wide,
but to get the results I want a FF is definatly in order. biggrin.gif

Harold, I love #1, you are giving me motivation to try some different stuff.

Andy, I like the first one. The second is a cool effect, I just like the natural look better.

Ok so the sellers of this condo granted me a $1,000 credit - someone talk me out of buying the 70-200 2.8 because when stuff like this happens I'm so easily swayed into temptation.

Don't do it it is way over rated.

Ok I am a liar I love mine. As an all around lens I think it is the best.
The bokeh it produces is simply amazing. Just pretend you didn't get the credit
and the lens just showed up.

I really can't, I need take care of the condo first, then we'll see what I have left and if I can spare it.

What I am seeing is ALOT of f4s for sale - but hardly any 2.8s. So I could get an f4L IS cheaper because they are abundant, but I just want the 2.8 really.

Also: I fixed that first of the 3 photos the other day. I will have to post it here later.

randy, saw you posting about this in the "post a pic of your 6gc" thread... i have lightroom 2, and i've tried picasa and ended up deleting it. picasa is free, thus a very slim editor. i've heard that the Gimp is really good, and freeware, i think. Picasa is good for autostuffs, brightness/contrast and sharpness, but you just have so much more in lightroom.

The f4 is so insanely sharp, however you do feel like a huge girl using it as it is like 2/3rds the size of the f2.8 laugh.gif

Check to see how many clicks it has. I bought mine for $1250 with a brand new shutter in it installed by Canon - effectively making it brand new.

Went to the local track today to get a little panning practice.
The last one I was just kinda goofing around at 1/30 it is a
lot trickier than I thought, fun though.
