so i was using my friend's laser detector for fun
it starts beeping, i slow down cop pulls me over, tells me to hand me over the detector or he will put me in jail and impound my car and search every inch of it. i said, "um...no" he says, "this isn't the US. Officers in Canada do not need a reason to put people in jail or search through public property" *shows me Section 53.457A-4 of some law book* me, "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" ya, radar detectors are very illegal where i live. i got a $300 ticket and i'm losing my license for 6 months true story, you can lol if you wish haha |

Valentine 1 , here's why:
1st day I got mine, I didn't get 5 miles when it went off indicating definite radar ahead of me. little bit further, there was a police car with someone pulled over. so far so good, as I passed him I expected the directional arrows to switch to rear, it didn't. still indicating ahead. as I am thinking "what a piece of *&^(%,, I see a 2nd police car another half mile ahead in the median... the directional indicators are worth every penny. Had my V1 for at least 8 years now, sent it in once for updates. |

i'm bringing this back for an opinion. i'm thinking about getting a cheap detector for a bit of protection on the highway. i'd love a v1 but cant afford one at this time.
What do you all think of this model? The Whistler XTR-220... at the cheapest price I could find on the internet (under $50) Yet has pop mode. thoughts? -------------------- |

I have an older model of a Whistler radar/laser detector. My dad has a beltronics 940. I'd definitely advise you to get something besides whistler, i dont know if they've improved from the one i have, but i can see cops before this thing goes off, no lie.
My dads beltronics on the other hand, picks them up from wayyyyyyyy far. I realize that the cheapest beltronics is $100 more than you wanna spend but, you get what you pay for. -------------------- ◊◊◊ My F/S Thread! ◊◊◊
QUOTE (14:19:21) Daniel: That was a JDM hole in the side of the box too. There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out. QUOTE Ferdi says (11:29) No, it looks like a hooker put her acid vag on your hood. Acid vag = bigger problem than a few dings. |
