I've already abandon mine. I just look at it now as a momento from the past, since I can't figure out how to take off my rims without getting any donuts for it first. As soon as I find some donuts to put on Im taking it straight to the crusher.

Mine is a regular POS but i still like it. It was seriously abused by it's previous owner. The engine rattles and shakes, the brakes squeal, the doors are rotting, the rear wing is only attached with 1 bolt, the interior body panels in the hatch are not attached to anything, the carpets stink, it doesn't idle well, it sucks gas like a V8 and numerous other little bugs and glitches-- YET IN SPITE OF ALL THIS... I've replaced the rad, the fog lights, installed a head unit and satellite receiver, dropped it on Teins w/KYBs, bought Enkei 17s w/Toyos, put in a sub/amp, upgraded the speakers, stripped the A/C, replaced the ignition wires, i wash it every week it's on the road, change the oil every 3000 miles, clean the air filter every month, removed the surface rust and re-painted it DIY. WHY, because it's a 6gc. It looks like no other. Handles like no other and makes me feel like no other car in it's class.

If you can afford it, junk it. If cash is tight, care for it. We all love our 6gc's, that's why you are here.

pep talk over.

peace

r.

GET RID OF IT NOW. I was in the same situation as you. I replaced the same things over and over again just so they would break again within like 3 months. I got so sick of having to keep spending money on that POS car. I just sold it recently and could not be happier biggrin.gif

I've got two if you need them. Since I'm getting ready to get rid of this car, I might even have a third.

That's just the thing. I can't afford to keep it any more. I need a car that isn't going to break. But the cash situation is getting better... Long story, but I just met a manager who really likes me for some reason, and I'm interviewing for the job tomorrow. So if I get the job, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I'll be getting a new car within a year. Maybe sooner if I decide to spend less than what I'm thinking about now. Or if I decide to keep living at home so I can afford higher payments.

Sounds exactly like me. I love 6gc's, but I hate mine. I can't wait to see it go. I'd get another, but it doesn't seem good to go for a fourth, especially when I want something else as bad as I do.

Just an update... Last week, I got not one, but two new jobs. So within two months, the Celica will be for sale and I'll have something new.

Congrats on the new jobs. A new job is probably the quickest way to instantly feel better about yourself.

Out of curiosity though, what are you looking at getting?

^^^ That, if it's still there when I get ready to buy. I doubt if it will be, but it's worth checking thumbsup.gif

I think you have bought an absolute lemon and TBH you probably drive like a tool if you need new suspension so soon.

Akimbo - You need to buy a 4 mate, but you could also do with reading up on cars as you seem to know jack sh!t!
