dam if there are twisties maybe I should take the rx8 lol, im scarred of making a loooong trip i dont want anymore paint chips on my celica haha

I'm not sure what the difference is. I prefer to be with the 6gc guys. =] So wherever you go, I follow. Or whomever I am riding with.

(At this point, I might drive to Texas just for the road trip experience) -- I'm not sure how long I will be staying there. My best friend will be graduating from the Air Force around that time (I think), so I may only be there 2 days, then drive/fly to Lackland. We'll see.

there's our meet/Hill Country drive which will be sometime in May in Austin.

then there's the TX2K9 which will be March 20-21st @ Lonestar Motorsports Park in Houston.
i don't know how many 6gc's are going to TX2K9 - it's mainly a huge Supra get together with drag, dyno & track events.

our event just costs gas & food & probly some wear to the tires & brakes
if you want to do any of the events at TX2K9 it costs some $$$ to do.

I'll be at both. Hitching a ride for the Supra meet unless I have a guest, then whippin some ass for ours. This is gonna be a fun Spring time. Hopefully ours won't be as hot as it was when we went in June; that sucked.

BTW, Keri, do we have a set date for our meet? I'd like to be able to request said weekend from work.

Alex, we don't have a set date.

Does everyone still want the meet in May or do you all want it earlier in April? It will for sure be cooler in April --- May is borderline beginning of summer heat.

Please post here to cast a vote so we can determine the month & if you would like to add a date feel free to do so.

I will post up maps of the roads very soon --- sorry for the delay just been so busy trying to get Vadar & the motor cleaned up & fixed up I just haven't had the time to attempt to search the house for the maps of the routes.

I do still have the hill country map in case we cant find it

Anytime after the 9th would be preferable. beforehand would be pushing it with finals the week of the 5th.

well i've been planning to go this entire time. But it's going to be a no go for me....again due to maintenance. November, i was unable due to celi having it's motor rebuilt. and now i have really low compression in one of my cylinders and it's riding rough....to scared to even go get smokes in it

sorry guys been so busy with vadar & life in general i haven't checked back in awhile.
good news is we got the motor & tranny back in the car again & got the carbon fiber driveshaft installed
bad news is still got ~1 month or so to go on getting everything hooked back up, installed & running again

so how does Saturday May 9th sound to everyone then for the meet/twisty cruise?

looks like im not gonna make it in my celica

but what ever car i get ill try to make it in that

ST185's aren't for the faint of heart that's for sure - Vadar's just about broken me & our check book for certain with this rebuild.

if you get a Lotus Elise Joe & I call dibs for a ride!!! that's the only "new" car i'd consider

whatcha got in mind? 350Z? RX-8? S2K? Do tell .....

nothing in stone yet, would really like to find a mini cooper S though. i absolutely love those cars

aww, i'll be moving back to houston in a couple months, hopefully i can sell off my honda and grab another celi xD

we just got Vadar running right last weekend - had a helluva overheating issue which is thankfully gone now.
we've got a few more things to install, but we're in good shape to bring him down in May

R2's clutch master cylinder just took a dump so as soon as that gets here we can get R2 back on the road again.
ahhh ... the joys of owning 20 yr old cars
