hehe yea, im sure they will..the #s that are in my sig now are from '06, with just the SAFC, no water injection, no emanage ultimate, no cams, and a pretty crappy tune.
im expecting good things here in a couple weeks after the new intercooler and piping get installed.

a quick pic of it all put back together, with a nice new K&N filter. (finally )



i also removed my charcole canister, and put my catch can in its place.

Holy crap, I thought that filter was never getting changed!

nice Presure! looks good!!! now how does it drive?? how does the clutch feel?

got to do a couple 4th gear pulls last night..
WOW this car pulls much harder over 4500 rpm..in fact it pulls right to redline now!
i cant wait to get the new IC and piping in and get on the dyno.
the diffrence up top is amazing.
the clutch feels great, its VERY grabby, and with the lightweight flywheel, the car definetly feels like it revs easier and faster.
doing these mods really makes me think about the 6200rpm rev limit, i need to start looking around for a set of valvesprings, and a used 98 block and crank.

lookin better and better. whens the new IC and pipes supposed to be in?

the IC should be in sometime this week, along with the piping, it prolly wont get installed for a week or two, i need to mock it up, weld up the piping, then send it off to get coated.

nice i need to get my pipes beaded.... thinkin about gettin a new piping set and FMIC too

I can't wait for the dyno! I think this car has the potential for first 5sfe into the 300's

Doing some research and I've noticed a lot of people talking about the 98+ block and crank. What is the real difference? How is it exactly stronger than the blocks before? Was it made with a different process?

I am currently building a 5sgte and I'm thinking twice about putting all these expensive parts in my 94 block.

So what do you think it is Manny?

like can be seen in the pics on the last page, the cams are webcams 294 grind.

will the 98+ blocks have more reinforcement ribbing, has a better casting design around the upper corners, and has a higher nickle content.
all add up to a stronger block than the earlier designs.

never knew that - always thought toyota would keep costs down by keeping the blocks the same.

now that im actually awake, 2 pics.

the upper left corner is the weak spot, IIRC.

now, the 98+ block, its pretty easy to tell where its beefier.

I thought you already had Lagos' 98 engine?

fed-ex delivered the intercooler yesterday, im pretty happy with it consitering what i paid for it.

a quick pic. its 25X12X3 with 2.5" inlet/outlet.



the piping, bov flange, and a couple couplers will be here early next week, so i will prolly mock it all up next weekend.

Just wondering Manny why so big? I forget the size of yours but it should be good for up to 300, no?
