Sometimes when my 6G won't start (it's an automatic) I would have to giggle the shifter forward and back while turning the key to the start position and then it would start rolleyes.gif I took the plastic trim off around the shifter to see if it might be a loose connection, but all I saw was a steel cable, that looks like it leads to tranny. I am baffled at this point.

Has anyone ever had this problem?
95% it's right up
The other 5% I have to sit there for a 2 -3 minutes giggling the shifter and turning the key.

Any information to this fix or the cause would be great ...

Thanks ...

If you just want to bypass this switch here ya go:

Pop your hood
Look at the front of the tranny
find the gray 10 pin connector (should have only 7 wires though)
disconnect it and pull it to a easy area to work on it
locate pins 5 and 6 (black wire/yellow stripe and black wire respectively)
short the two wires together somehow (i can do a how to on "properly" doing it. but any way that gets the two connected that will last works)
plug the connector back in
clean up, close the hood, and check how well she starts smile.gif
