None. Unless you're meaning a piggy-back ecu or standalone system. Those "chips" and resistors will just cause problems by altering fuel mixtures inappropriately. A serious waste of money, anyone who thinks they've gained something from them is honestly full of crap.

get a new motor? Honestly, an ST isn't going to do much beyond 115 due to power limitations.

Piggy back and stand alone are more turbo application specific. To get anything out of a 7afe, you'd have to swap out another a-series head. Otherwise swap a different motor.

IMO "In My Opinion"

Common A-series Toyota engines

4afe: 1.6 liter
7afe: 1.8 liter
4age: 1.6 liter
4agze: 1.6 liter supercharged

For more performance you would go with a 4age or a 4agze because of the stronger head design. Found in the early 1st gen mr2s, levins/corollas, and geo prism.

There's a few good threads about it if you search this website, especially nik's monster 7agte build.

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=21831

Here's a 7afte "Celica ST Turbo"

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...44&hl=7agte

A thread of a max potential 7afe full build

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...7agte&st=80

Just to give you ideas and please use the search button. Also no, nothing in the world can increase your car's stock performance except a good maintainence tune-up. All these tornados, racing chip, resistors, etc....will not benefit your stock car. Just like saying that adding a huge carbon fiber racing wing will make my car fly. If you want "some as in little" performance gain....all bolt-ons; intake, header, and exhaust.

zgear is right chips do not work they just confuse ur computer in thinking more air is going in to engin to force more gas and r other way round but the intake can only suck up so much air that if u confuse it ur gas mixture will be wrong witch IMO will slow u down not speed u up....noticing ur new to engins u should really research ur engin know it then research the engin head for a swap or convert to 7a-fte (your motor just turboed) or do a complete motor swap with one of thoes a series listed WITCH WILL REQUIRE MONEY AND TIME..............if u want a little more hp cheap and quick buy quad spark plugs (no flaming iv tested and it gives car potential r should i say it dose not lack any power) and wires and some fine tuning and exahst system......other then that research and enjoy the 6gen celica

If you're lucky, stock internals should hold 200hp. Roughly 8-9 psi daily driven and 12 psi max boost.

QUOTE (sapience @ Mar 12, 2009 - 7:30 AM) *

DOES NOTHING its all bs they just want money like i said u cant force any more air into intake wit out nos or turbo with just a chip

also as u may have noticed toyota is not an option....
http://www.powerchipgroup.com/interact/dat...asheets_one.asp

research the turbo kit man ull need more then just a turbo intercoolor downpipe ect search this fourm for 7a-FTE urs is 7a-fe add turbo and presto 7a-fte ull find ppl that have done it here in 6gc.net theyll have ur answers

edit: a quote from powerchip.... Each Powerchip program is developed to improved the performance at each throttle opening position, which means that if you even touch your foot lightly on the gas your engine will respond instantly.
OMG thats what ground wires r for thats y u buy the ground wire kit

quote....The performance gain is made possible by, and fully maximises the use of, high octane gasoline. State-of-art equipment is used to read and enhance the software program inside your vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU), and tune the vehicle to suit the gasoline that you run in your vehicle. If you want the best performance improvement, you understand the importance of using the best gasoline, and a Powerchip to suit!

i was in a program once to identifi false advertizing and keywords to look for are STATE-OF-THE-ART equipment....anyway......

more quotes from powerchip.....Your home computer is similar to your car. It needs software to run, and it is only intelligent when the correct software is loaded. They both contain just digital instructions, but what they achieve is totally different... you can call that clever pragramming!

LMFAO powerchip is more like an ad ware and spy ware (anoying pop up and viruses)

quote from powerchip....... sheesh.......Getting extra performance is accomplished in the same way that ‘Hot Rodder’s” have achieved more power for decades: More ignition advance and more fuel is allowed to enter the engine.

like i said more fuel...........BUT WHAT ABOUT THE AIR U CANT FORCE MORE AIR INTO THE INTAKE WITH OUT USE OF TURBO OR NOS......if u have turbo again chip still useless cuz then ull be useing a piggyback r stand alone if useing nos well enuff said nos alone forces mixed air and gases into intake unless direct port then its forced into chamber....im spent

1) start saving your pennies for either a swap or turboing what you've got.
2) research
3) research
4) research
5) start getting parts for whatever you find.

The 4agZe, the Z signifies that it is supercharged. So it's the same block and such as the 4age. It's like 3sge and 3sgte

Jimmykay is right, you need to do some research. There is no fast, cheap way to get power out of these cars. So you need to save your money and do a lot of research. Turbocharging your motor will probably end up costing you at least $2,000, and the prices goes up with swapping in different motors. the 4agze out of the 80's supercharged MR2's is a good choice for a swap.

even the 4AGZE

IBtL

CHIPS, DORITOS, NACHOS.

All those have been explained before, several threads. no, an st will never reach the speeds people want to see.

Those are gimmicks, and tricks. "i made a million dollars with the Johny system in one week"!!!, guess why, selling gimmicks and tricks.

You want real power, do as Jimmykay. research. Dont waste money. Swap engine or turbo. For that, use the search button.
