5s-fe, is similar to 3s-fe and 3sge, and 3sge with beams. They are all S series engines. So swapping out for engine would be direct drop in and motor mounts are the same. as from what i heard. im not sure if there needs to be any other details im missing becuase i am still learning about our cars just as you are.
I asked dr tweak about what i needed for swapping out for a beams engine and he said (i have a st celica, a series engine): - celica gt motor mounts - custom power steering. - axles from celica gt - custom a/c This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Mar 19, 2009 - 7:53 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts

You can use the 5s AC compressor, its a direct bolt up. The PS pump will be the same.

3sge direct drop in. Trans will bolt up no need to change anything. The wiring harness with the motor will be plug and play. All you have to do is extend it to fit a lhd car.

YES. Thats if its a 3rd gen 3sge. Its almost like the 3rd gen 3sgte. For the 3rd gen 3sgte it would be a complete PnP but you will have to wire a few things in like the intercooler stuff. Since the 3sge is an all motor set-up its basically PnP since it came off of the same gen cars.

dont care man if all goes as planned i might do it but not for a while. when the time comes ill get numbers down and see if its just way to much. i asked doc and he said like $4000 for parts and labor plus motor. but i still don't have detailed list of what exactly i need. still need to do more research...
im guessing your referring to this as rebuild kit. http://www.rpmmachine.com/engine-rebuild-k...2.0-Liter.shtml This post has been edited by BonzaiCelica: Mar 21, 2009 - 6:21 PM -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
