I am not sure on boosted motors but seating rings under heavy initial load is common among many
good NA engine builders, my brother does it for a living and it is the prefered method of many. After initial seating they obviously don't keep it up, they break them in similar to manufacture suggestion. Glad to see it coming together Manny. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

why get rid of the ABS? cause ive had dead sensors for years, i always hated the way the 94 system worked, its cheaper to remove than fix, and it cleans up the engine bay. motor is in, pics later. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

hey pressure? let me know how u removed your abs i want to do that too! but the motor is comin out really good! let us know how the drop in and start up is comin along.. you need a non abs master cylinder, and then use toyodiy.com to compare the diffrences between the abs and non abs lines. there are like 5 or 6 lines that need to be changed, and there are also 2 splitters that are needed, one of them is actually discontinued from the dealer, i got lucky and one came in for me, even though it came back as a discontinued part. a pic of the progress from yesterday, i havent had a chance to get out there today, ill get out there for a while tommorow and start refabbing up the oil lines again ect. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

QUOTE (14:19:21) Daniel: That was a JDM hole in the side of the box too. There was so much JDM trapped inside that box that they couldn't contain it, so they had to put a JDM hole in the box to let the JDM out. hey pressure? let me know how u removed your abs i want to do that too! but the motor is comin out really good! let us know how the drop in and start up is comin along.. Get a Non-ABS master cylinder---#47201-2B090---about $175 (list is $260) from the dealer, I got Manny's from the junkyard for $15 Then some brake lines and splitters from the dealer, followed by the list price: #47311-2B090 $14.80 #47311-2B120 $7.34 #47313-20700 $12.69 #47314-20590 $14.80 #47315-20640 $9.97 #47318-20350 $7.34 #47371-20540 $21.95 <---this is a T splitter that showed up as discontinued in the parts database, I had it ordered anyway and it came in directly from Japan #90904-13009 $15.20 One of the lines wasn't necessary but I have no idea which one that was. -------------------- |

I like the new spot for the oil filter much more then the old one.
How much does that whole relocation kit go for anyway? I wouldn't mind doing something like that on my 3s. I hate when I change my filter and all the oil gets all over the block. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
