My intake is one of a kind. I came up on different pipes from different cars. The piece coming from throttle boby(92-??) civic. had to be cut shorter. middle piece-(second piece to an AEM cold air intake of 02 civic;wouldn't fit on friends car do to auto trans). Had to cut in several places. lower piece-same as trottle body piece. it was fun but frustrating. lots of measuring cutting and sanding rough edges.

Thats what i did, I used an 92-95 civic intake, and just droped right in, the only problem was that the fuse box is up a little and i had to use a metal screw to hold it down, but worked great

I had to cut my 92-95 civic intake to make room to put the filter on the end. That was before I got the stuff to make the cold air. One reason I like celicas is because they dont make alot of parts and you have to customize. Some look at customizing as a difficult task. The satisfaction that comes from making something for your car that improves it is a very good feeling.

You can't just use refrigerant by circulating it through coils or something....its a lot more complicated than that. For example, your A/C system in your car has a compressor, an evaporator, a condenser, an accumulator, and a lot of aluminum hard line. For the fluid to cool it has to be compressed, then it has to expand and cool, then it must be recompressed and the process repeated. The pressures in the system must be carefully controlled and the refrigerant is quite expensive.

I just try to tell it like it is. Theres no point in knowing things if you're not willing to share. My family spent a lot of money on me so that I could learn what I know, and I have a job that puts me in a unique situation to gain a lot more experience thatn I ever would as just an enthusiast. I try to help everybody else out whenever I can.

That was a pure compliment man. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I ask a lot of noobie questions, but I'm very open-minded and have all the will in teh world to learn something new. I remember a long time ago, on celica.net ... You said you didn't mind newbie questions or naive views as long as they're willing to learn.
