run it off the courtesy light and add a small time delay circuit would be my option. this will keep the light on after the courtesy goes off. set delay with a variable resistor.

any good with electronics? if not there are some timer relays that will do the job nicely

You read my mind...looking into that sort of connection and method of controling the light.

I have done a full LED conversion...including heater controls so used to soldering and such. biggrin.gif

I was thinking of doing mine with a 2 way LED, using regular ignition power and the flasher from my aftermarket alarm/immobiliser.

That ignition barrell you have Welsh-Celica still confuses me, I've never seen anything like it.

You would have thought that the models are standard is this department...it looks like there are differences in the prefacelift models and even between UK spec and Euro cars...not to mention USA based and Japanese cars!!! confused.gif confused.gif confused.gif

I have found a nice little circuit diagram for which will help change your interior/courtesy lighting...it will softly get brighter and then once door is closed it will then fade to darkness slowly.

The timings can be varied with the size of the reister used:

Oh how I wish I knew what any of that meant. I sure liked that feature on my 4Runner! kindasad.gif

I have found several little circuit diagrams when doing some research...I shall post some more info soon that has bit more of an explanation.

Apparantly, you can purchase an already made circuit that you can just connect to the lighting?

It's a MOSFET (Power Transistor). Google BUZ74.

Also, missed the transistor, BC337
