art, a rag under the filter when you pull it off will solve your dripage problem. please dont put a filter relocater kit on your car....keep it clean

I like the new spot for the oil filter much more then the old one.
How much does that whole relocation kit go for anyway? I wouldn't mind doing something like that on my 3s. I hate when I change my filter and all the oil gets all over the block.

with all the fittings, lines, and the canton adapter for the block side, ~150-200 depending on how much hose you buy.
it also varys depending on what style hose ends you need as well. the 90* swivel seal hose ends that i have on the filter side are expensive as hell, theyre over 20$ each.

SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!

fired her up for the first time yesterday, and to my delight, it didnt blow to peices! haha it runs very well, actually. nice and quiet, no valve tick or anything.
pics and vids later.

Nice! now you just need to take the long way home from work, and forget your wallet at home everytime you go someplace so that you have to drive back and get it... just so you can get through the break in period faster so we can see the dyno! tongue.gif

shes got ~10miles on her now, runs great, everything seems to be going very well so far.
no leaks, no smoke.
biggrin.gif
now its just a matter of getting miles on it, my new laptop should be here by the end of the week, so ill be able to tune it as we get more miles on it.

i also discovered that my WI pressure switch isnt working properly, it had blown the fuse to the pump, once i replaced the fuse, the WI is on all the time.
its got me wondering how long its been like that, and if it had anything to do with the cracked ringland.
ohh well, not much i can do about it now, just ordered a new pressure switch, and just see how things go.

updates will come as the miles get put on before the dyno. smile.gif

finding that blown fuse must of been a "hmm" type of moment to say the least. working WI and larger ring gaps should keep keep your engine happy biggrin.gif

I have my EGR blocked off in the same way, I very occasionally get a CEL at boost.. when you say you connected the two wires, do you mean the ones from the EGR temp sensor? I might have to try that.

That does look exactly like the EGR block off plate I have laying around somewhere P. The one I have is about 1/4" thick [Not like that makes any difference].
