hi guys, I'm putting my car up the 1/4 next weekend to see if I can improve in my 14.08 seconds.

I've sorted the boost and I've also took the spoiler off. Looks a bit different !

Does anyone know how much the spoiler off will help, time wise.

Did the car seem like it wiuld have a fatsr time but there was a issue of some sort? I ran a 14.2 but had bad whel hop because I need new struts and maybe I need a motor mount insert. But If I can fix my wheel hop issueI know I can run mid 13's. So after I install my stryts and ct27 I will be going to the track again in a few weeks. Good luck on your next run

The car was running fine when I done the 14's but I was only running low boost, which was 13psi if I remember correctly. I sorted high boost which is 17psi so with that and the spoilerless I'm hoping to hit 13's, maybe mid 13's

i managed a 13.5 in almost standerd trim all i had done was Biltz pod 3 inch cat back exhaust running about 15-16psi boost
and i still had the TRD rear wing and heavy 17" rims

i think it's all in the launch i was getting off the line well launching at about 6500rpm

so good luck on your next run

the last time i was up at Crail i took the GT4 spoiler off my GT thinking it would help, didn't make the slightest bit of difference lol

good luck m8 you will need it with that place, everytime i have been up there the timing gear has fecked up some way or another, did over 20 runs the last time and only recorded 11. will never be back.

your car will not benefit from adding a spoiler in the 1/4. you are not getting near the trap speed to make it worth your money and the drag on the rear may either not do anything or actually make your times worse. use your money wiser and get something more useful like engine upgrades or drag radials/slicks.

Isn't he saying that he's taking off the spoiler, not adding one?

i didn't notice the roof spoiler thingy until you said something. on first glance i didn't see anything on there and assumed he wanted to add one. my bad. since he already has it installed, i don't see even the slightest difference it would make with it on or off. i just hope he steers clear of any large wings or whale tails...that would be fail and a waste of money.

i really don't thing that the hatch/roof spoiler would do much anyways. look at the evo with the vortex generators and the 06 sti with the vane spoiler on the back window, they are mainly there to direct the airflow coming off the roof to the main spoiler on the trunk. this hatch/roof spoiler looks like it would be the same idea, but there is no main spoiler, so i don't think it would really make a difference.
