Because Megan and Ksport is the most available now and Tein and Tanabe are not on the affordable side.
But I do have the megan coilovers - they can even get softer than stock but can also fine tune the ride comfort. I heard from others that Ksports are stiff. Megan and Ksport are fully adjustable. This post has been edited by trdproven: Mar 9, 2009 - 5:17 PM -------------------- 94 Celica GT

i have tanabe's and they don't have adjustable damper settings, nor do they come with adjustable camber plates.
if you're getting coilovers then i'd definitely recommend getting one with the adjustable top mounts. there are two versions of teins that come with them and the one that is common in north america doesn't offer the adjustable plates. -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Megan Coilovers are great. I have the setting right between soft and stiff and the ride is wonderful, specially in cornering, maybe that's because I have the ST swaybars intalled too... lol
whatever you get, dont get ebay!!! |

I have ksport and there set more on the stiffer side but I don't like body roll.... but there awesome in the corners you can soften them up for more comfort

tanabe's go for 800 of not less depends...the ones with the helper spring retails for like 1100 and the ones without is around 900. some places will have 'em cheaper, depends. i have the tanabes type 1 with the helper spring and i freakin' love 'em. non adjustable dampening but the ride comfort is pretty damn good and these things handle well. im still on the stock sway bars (STs soon) and body roll is very minimal if at all on these. great quality parts id say. it would be nice to have pillow ball mounts tho lol -bboy -------------------- ..(formerly daily driven) 3S-GTE powered celica currently set @ 12psi.. |

So Megan Racing is the way to go? I am lookin for the exact same thing as topic starter. I want to have the possibility to manually adjust my height, without losing the comfort ride.
