amazing. i only wish i was close enough to see it in person. i know what you mean by the pics dont do it justice, its hard to truly capture what your eyes see across the panels. im not a particular fan of red, but that is simply an amazing combination. i dont know about everybody else, but i smell somthing..... yup...definetly smells like a future featured ride to me! You flatter our efforts sir. There's lots of other cars on this site I'd place above ours on that list. oh so you're a Zaino man what are you using?? i love the z-16 tire shine I SWEAR by Zaino for most things. I use the Z2 and Z5 with ZFX, Z6 for regular stuff, Z8 when I'm hitting a meet or something, Z9 and Z10 leather cleaners and conditioners (these are absolutely AMAZING, best I've ever used), Z-18 Claybar, and ZPC with my PC7424 Random Orbital for light swirl clean up. However, for meduim and heavy cutting and polishing, I use Menzerna IP and FP before any Zaino polishing. I also use stoners invisible glass for the windows and have found my favorite tire shine to be Meguiars Gold Class Endurance Tire Gel (purple, smells like grapes). Stuff lasts forever. -------------------- |

That looks absolutely amazing!!!! I'm also not a huge fan of red but that is definitely the one of the best reds ever!
I FULLY expect to see ample 2010 calendar submissions! This will be such a hot contribution to the calendar. Nice job, I'm SO jealous! So much so that I have to end everything with exclamation points! OMG! What didn't kill your car has definitely made it stronger. Nice work. Can't wait to see it done. -------------------- |

Got some good news on it today. The headlight the dealership ordered came in yesterday and like I told the body guy, it would be the wrong one. BUT.....they were able to locate the correct clear high beam and get it in today, and are doing a zero cost swap for the incorrectly ordered left side light.
Car is going back together and should be ready for pickup this weekend. -------------------- |

Any day now.........I'm starting to get impatient because it's been how many weeks he's had the car now??? You're waiting so impatiently to get the wicked car back with the awesome paint job so you can store the wicked car with the awesome paint job in the garage so that no bad things happen to the wicked car with the awesome paint job? ... who wouldn't right? I would cry if my new kick-arse paint job got scratched, etc. -------------------- |

I want the car back so I can fix what I need to (vacuum leak causing idle issues, oil pan gasket leak), get the rest of the enhancements done, and get it back on the road. I've been borrowing my buddies 99 Dakota since the accident, and the 16 MPG is starting to kill me with gas at $2.50 here right now. Sadly, she's still going to be a primary driver, though extra precautionary measures will be taken to ensure safety.

Just got the call. It will be done tomorrow. It's back together, he's just got to go over it one more time with the buffer to pull out any minor swirls and hologramming, and detail it.
I bet by this time tomorrow it's in my garage. Then hopefully I can spend the weekend working on getting the other stuff done and in! -------------------- |

It's HOME!!!!! Funny thing actually, I think the car was happy to be in my hands again. Ran GREAT on the way home. NO idling issues or anything.
Now comes the fun part, putting everything else back in it. The passenger soleniod isn't working for the door for some reason, so gotta figure that one out. Have to do some "tweaking" on the front splitters (read 3M tape to hold them in place and flat better), put the 5th gen mirrors on and repin the harness, an dput the interior back in. Hopefully will be done by the time we go to Kansas City on Friday next week....... -------------------- |
