dont 7th gen kits fit... at least the fronts do im sure yes, but 7th gen is still a single piston caliper and the rotor is not as big. I have everything needed and will have complete kits ready, also will post intructions for those who want to do it themselves, all the parts can be obtain at autozone ( if you trust their quality lol ) USDM ready parts + performance = cost were my goal on desinging my kit. I manage to get all 3 and be extremely happy with the results, but I will not post this until 3 more weeks, I will be installed in ~ 1-2 weeks and I'll need at least a week of road test before I get someone else do try this. the kit I'm talking about have 4 piston calipers, ~ 300 mm disc, bolt on the factory way. for underUS$1,000.00 -------------------- ![]() |

i have custom big brakes, the specs are:
-6 piston dynalite wilwood rotors (red) -2 piece 13" cross drilled and slotted rotors -aluminum rotor hat -stainless steel lines -mounting brackets and hardware i'll find and post some pics later. keep in mind that all BBK's are universal. the rotors, calipers, rotor hats are all the same. the only difference is bolt patterns, mounting bracket and hardware. (ex. when you buy new pads wilwood dont ask you what kinda car it is, they ask you what kinda rotor you have, same with rotors) if you are driving your car everyday i don't suggest getting cross drilled and slotted rotors being that they are very abrasive (you feel the pedal shake and braking isvery abrupted). also i don't suggest getting 13 inch rotors are well. i got the custom BBK simply because i compete in shows and the brakes give my car the complete look (see multi media i just posted a pic). if you are looking for a brake upgrade for a daily driver i suggest getting better pads and a performance based rotor. |

Well i have 16" rims. and from what ive heard, big brake kits only fit inside of 17" rims... is that true? not true, ST205 celica came with 315 mm disc and 4 piston capilers and 16 inches wheels are not a problem for those cars, it's all about the offset, I do have 16" wheels as well, so once I post everything you'll see it on the pictures. -------------------- ![]() |

really. Well i have 16" rims. and from what ive heard, big brake kits only fit inside of 17" rims... is that true? in most cases yes, my caliper and rotor all together measures 16 inches. you can get smaller BBK packages but it defeats the functional purpose. aside from actually diameter you have to keep in mind that your rotor has to clear suspension and rim spokes. |

if you are looking for a brake upgrade for a daily driver i suggest getting better pads and a performance based rotor. What exactly is a "performance based rotor"? Better alloy, cryo treated, slotted, slotted and drilled, ect. Although, I NEVER recommend using a cross drilled rotor for a street car. No matter how it's done, they WILL crack. Napa carries a GREAT brembo based blank rotor for pretty cheap. I got my entire set for $95 after taxes. -------------------- |
