I just ordered a new acoustic. Nothing real special I just wanted something I could leave out, hang on wall, and play. Been playing for roughly 3 years. Plan on playing a lot this summer and write a few songs. Well here is my list.

Fender California Series Sonoran SCE - Just ordered

Fender 50th Anniversary guitar of the '57 Strat Blonde

Gibson Les Paul Studio

Brandy Wine w/ Gold hardware

And My pride and joy. Really wanted a semi-hollow body to play blues/jazz so I found this
Gibson DG-335 inspired by Dave Grohl 1 of 300 and 1 of 150 in Black

And powered by a Marshal half stack

I've had both of these since about 1998 --

Ibanez AW-50 acoustic
Ibanez RG-570 electric

Nothing fancy, nothing overly expensive, but both play to my liking. Almost got a PRS Tremonti and an Ibanez Korn K7 a few years ago, but held off for some strange reason.

I've got an ESP ltd B205FM 5-string bass in See-thru Black. It is the sex guitar.

I also have an Oscar Schmidtt acoustic/electric 4-string bass. It's really all I play now. I'm thinking about selling my 5-string. Living in a duplex I get a lot of complaints from the neighb's regarding my SWR bass stack and the low D string vibrating stuff off of their walls/shelves/etc.

--------------------
1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

I'm not really an asshole, but I play one on the internet.

I have an off-brand acoustic, and a "Synsonics Terminator" (Definitely have to look at the picture)

I'm looking for an electric though. Anyone got any ideas? I play ska, metal, and punk... I know it's kind of a range. I like ska and metal the best, there seems to be no happy medium for these two styles in terms of a guitar. I was thinking a semi-hollow body, but how do they do on metal?

I'm not a metal player but you'll probably have issues trying to play metal w/ a semi-hollow body guitar because the chambers can make feedback when you have your gain turned up w/ distortion. Your best getting a solid body electric. Ibanez JS100 would probably work well for those styles because Joe Satriani does lots of stuff with those guitars.

Ricky, it would be my first choice if I could afford it. I played one years ago and the action was like butter.
I have a squire strat now and it is so, not like butter.lol I can believe it though, for the price.

I have a Guild Dearmond M70 that I've had since 2000, and I absolutely love it. Seems to be somewhat rare, I've never seen another one at any guitar shop. Great sound, a little heavy but seems to be the best value I could have bought. Just need to blow the dust off of it and play more.

This picture is of a similar M70, mine is in red, I'll post some pics after I clean it up and re-string it.

Like cars, Japanese Guitars are of a fine quality. I collect and rebuild Japanese ibanez's.

the list, ill keep it short by naming the nice ones. i have many

1987 Ibanez 550 (parts from 85-90) Rare color "Desert Eagle yellow"

1999 Ibanez 530 Hammered steel finish no frills, i use for parts mainly

My PRIDE & JOY Indonesian made Ibanez XPT 700/ Xyphos "Red chameleon" finish, this pic does no justice it turns from red to green as it moves

this guitar sounds and plays as badass as it looks! Anyone who needs help with fixing/rebuilding PM me i know a lot.

Got and play an Ibanez GRG 170 DX with a Cube 20X amp. Love it! I also have an 1977 Ovation Viper all electric as well. Play a lot of Deftones and Pink Floyd!
