Ok, so you guys aren't going 1431 again out to Marble Falls? If not then Nameless road is too far North and a waste of time, same with Hairy Man. If you're staying more South and Central then there are plenty of roads and you can see them all in a few hours.

What about Lime Creek? Are you guys including that?

Those maps won't pull up for me but I made a route in Google Maps you guys can check out and cross reference.

I'll be there and will get the count on MR2s this week also.

Here's the link to a map that shows most of the good driving roads, sight seeing etc. around Austin.

Roads included:
Spicewood Springs - covered tree road, streams, dips, turns
FM 2222, Mt. Bonnell, Plaza on the Lake (place to take pics by the 360 bridge), City Park Road, RR 620 crossover Mansfield Dam, hwy 71, Bee Caves Rd, Wetlake Dr., Lake Austin Dr., Town Lake (bat) bridge, end Downtown Austin.

There are tons of restaurants, few park stops, gas stations etc.....

Just some suggestions for you organizers. There's no Lime Creek on here although it's very close and would be easy to hit also. Hairy Man and Nameless are too far North.

Outside of these you can go further South from Austin and hit RR 12 and RR 32...Devils Backbone to fredericksburg and Blanco.

I got the day off from work, but dunno about the car situation. bleh

Guys don't leave this up to me as I'm the most flexible - I can be there at whatever time/wherever. I say we meet up at that bridge again if it's close to start of the route.
Mixmaster - can you help us out with this? You are local so you know the best places.
Ripley - you were the one with a certain route you wanna run - I trust your judgement


Alex - you know damn good and well i wouldn't leave you out. Worse comes to worse crash in my backseat till we get there and ride with someone with a front seat open once we get there [only cause I know it'll be cramped back there - otherwise you cna ride with me till whenever]

Mixmaster & myself are coming up with a place to meet near the route & a schedule w/times as well.
I'm working hard on getting this all locked in so there's no confusion & as little disorganization as possible.

I'll post back up with info as it gets worked out this weekend.
Please bear with me as I have lots going on here but I will get this all worked out.

hey guys i really would like to go but to be honest with you guys idk how long it will be and well also through where we would meet the thing is that im from the rio grande valley those of you that dont know its right close to South Padre Island ya know *****spring break ***but yeah if i can meet up with anyone out there and well go from there it would be cool so yeah guys enlighten me with some ideas here.

And it will have a lovely view of my taillights as Scott struggles to keep his word to smoke me in the twisties

keep dreamn matt, and you will get a taste of only the CAI cause the pulley wont be on by the meet. which means ill have to come to houston and handle business once its on

Oh no **** Scott! You mean you're finally gonna swap that tiny little motor for a 3S_GTE powered mini?
I mean cause that's the only way that statements even possible right?

After email-ing with Mixmaster we are close to finalizing a route - needs a few more tweaks but it is coming together nicely.

Also, Mixmaster let me know this same weekend is the Big ROT harley rally in Austin, Robbie Knievel is jumping 12 trucks Friday night, the city is going to be packed and driving roads full of motorcycles.

SO .... do ya'll want to try to push the date back 1 more weekend are you all ok w/going down there & dealing with bikes.
I have a feeling majority will be Harleys in which case they prolly wouldn't be on any twisty roads that we would be driving on.
If anything there might be sport bikes, but they are ok by me b/c they are way faster than any of us lol

Personally, it doesn't bother me, but I wanted to let everyone know now so if we need to change the date everyone can get their time off from work switched.
