You need air/fuel/spark to start a car check to make sure your getting all three. While cranking did you pump on the gas pedal ?? Could be a fuel problem since your getting spark but don't do it too much you don't want to flood it. Also check for check engine light codes (since your obd1) jump te1 and e1 with a paper clip and put the key to "on" while counting the blinks of the check engine light to determine what codes you get.
Make sure you battery is not dead too if the cars been siting for awhile. -------------------- "To Protect And To Serve The Wealthy" -POLICE

This test will do more good then just opening up the fuel pump. |

i doubt its the pump, but you can check it by using a peice of wire to bridge the FP and B+ pins in the diagnostics box in the engine bay.
whens the last time you did a tune up? do you know how to verify the timing belt is still connected? (pull the distributor cap, verify the rotor is spinning when you crank the engine.) if the belt is still good, you can verify timing is correct by setting the crank pully to 0, and check that the rotor is pointing at wire #1 or #4. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)

iirc isnt there a green circuit opening relay behind the radio console thats part of the fuel pump circuit? i only have diagrams for a 7afe corolla on hand, should though be similar to your 7afe celica.
i'm seeing efi relay, clutch pedal/park neutral switch, circuit opening relay, several grounds and several power feeds. all needs to be checked. This post has been edited by Bitter: May 31, 2009 - 9:37 PM -------------------- |
