These are my plans, i want the stiffest lowest setup possible. so i would like the rims to be kinda tucked, but the handleing thats like a gocart. what are some good setups

lowest is not always best.


valved Koni yellows + Custom rate coilover springs + sleeves/perches + Cusco camber plates + upgraded endlinks + ST swaybars + rear strut bar

About how much would all this cost

koni yellows alone cost $750 and the front are inserts. Camber plates can be from $200-300. lowering springs another $200 on average. ST sway bars $300 rear gt-four strut bar or cusco rear strut bar $120-160. Low end coilovers cost around a grand. or you can get tien ss for around $1500.

or you can get blisten struts all around $400. they are better than kyb gr-2 and not as expensive as koni yellows. from what people have said. dont forget bump stops, those will prevent bottoming out.

cusco pillow mounts = 300 per set, required is 2 sets.
konis are ~190/each
Tein COILOVER springs (different than lowering springs) are 140(F&R)
front sway links = 70
rear sway links = 75
ect ect....

You want stiff and low? KSPORT with st185 endlinks (Sticky), front and rear strut bars, ST Swaybars, not the best ride though. prolly better getting this setup with megan or tein. All this less than 2000.

how is this setup different than just getting coilovers? seems like you are building your own coilovers? also what are the endlinks? does that refer the the axle or something else. koni yellows are shocks right? what are the plates? just a different camber adjustment kit?

It is like building a custom coilover system but I don't trust the coil sleeves out there. endlinks are what stabilizes your sway bar to your rear struts and front knuckle area. Top plates allow for adjustment.

From what i have heard ksports are a pretty good coilovers for a legitmate price, i think you can get them for around 600 to maybe 700 bucks, i was gonna go with the ksports with the option of the upper pillowball mounts. I think they were on backorder so i went ahead and just got some teins, with twosrus endlinks front and rear, along with supsension tech front and rear sways, and a front strut tower bar, you def can feel the sways work. If you are on a budget i would go with either the ksports or maybe som eibach lowering springs with koni shocks, kybs, or bilsteins etc, along with front and rear sways and the endlinks. But it really depends on what you are really looking for in your setup, remember if you plan on doing shows and you want to slam your car all the way down then go with coilovers or if you just want straight performance, to me coilovers will always be stiffer than lowering springs, i find that in all my friends cars that have lowering springs there extremely bouncy, but everyone has their own preference you know, hope this was a help.

100%? order Ground Control Coilovers from their main site, and when they ask for spring rate, tell them like 950 all around or something. lol

But seriously, if you order from them, you dont have to give a number, just tell them what kinda driving you will do and what kind of ride you want. They will hook you up. Not to mention, good ride height adjustablity.

i think ground controls are just sleeves. Just get the best stuff if price doesn't matter. Ksports are too stiff as in I wouldn't get it.

Ksports are crap and have been reported to break on various occasions.


and the advantage of what I listed is all the parts are quality and Konis are the best option for our celicas hands down. The ability to have them revalved, rebuilt, and adjust ability offered out perform anything else as a complete coilover kit. This advantage makes it possible to 100% match the shocks to the springs chosen for ride and performance.

TEIN coilover springs are affordable (70 a set) and are excellent quality, reducing weight with the ability to chose your custom rate = win

and sleeves....well i get mine from a race shop that runs in the KONI CHALLENGE, so i trust them


oh and if you don't want to do all the work....TEIN SS coilover > anything else, BC coilovers are probably your next best bet.

um what? Ksports spring rates are 7.5f and 4r, megans are 10f and 8r.

money is kind of a problem..... its hard for me to get a good cash flow considering im sill in high school. but im pretty good at saving. i think im just going to go with a set of coil overs. and everything else.

Sounds like the $25 ebay coilovers are for you then. Stiff, bad ride, cheap, can be super-low. They meet all your requirements.

Universal Air Ride systems will make you ride like ****.

Hmmm i wonder if i can get a set for myself then do the endlinks, ST bars, 3pt. front and rear. what would handling be like?? HAhahahahaha
