I recently purchased front calipers but need the parts to hold the pads in -not sure what its called. Not sure how to get them. Also looking for aluminum hat light weight slotted rotors to go with them. Has anyone done this conversion, and if so what's the easy way? Will the caliper just bolt on without any mods?

for aluminum hat ( basically a 2 peice custom rotor ) get ready to pay over 500 for one set, I can get you front rotors ( slotted, drilled, plain, or slotted + drilled ) that will fit with the set-up as well as the instructions needed to complete the job ( very simple modification if you know how to use a wrench )

This is a custom rotor, design to work with ST205 calipers and McPherson suspension.

This caliper has a different style clip to hold the pads in. I was looking into Wilwood rotors or something that looked like it, slotted and drilled with a black hat. Is the offset the same as the GT with just a larger diameter, or custom offset with the GT hubs? Sounds like you've done this before, thanks for your help.

wilwood would probably make you a custom rotor, but you have to give them the specs, so you have to calculate the offset where the calipers will fall, so the rotor is dead center on the caliper, also you need to give them the thickness of the disc, the diameter where it'll cover the pad and stuff. and after you get all this info, it'll cost you a pretty pennie.


I'll post my set-up this week, if you are interested, my rotors are not a 2 piece rotor, I have the traditional style one piece, but it'll save you from doing all this calculation, which I can say, is a pain. you'll also need spacers to clear the calipers depending on the wheels you have.


I can get you rotors + spacers that have great quality for our demands and are still affordable for everyone.



the metal piece that you describe can be ordered from the dealer, the part number is 47748-14080 Spring, anti-rattle No. 1


they cost ~ 10.00 from the dealer.

Thanks for the part number I really appreciate it. Posting the setup would be great, also if you can post a pic of the rotor too. I guess not a whole lot of people have put the GT4 rotors on the US spec celica, as it is a pain I suppose. I still wanna do mine even though they are a pain and because no one else has celica calipers -its kind of unique.

I haven't post the write up for lack of time, but I'll try to see if tomorrow I get the pictures for it. it's not a pain at all, as long as you have the right stuff.

Is the strut with the 205 conversion a Superstrut or std Mcphearson strut??

culp i hope when i come for dwg we can swap rotors... that way we can see if the will fit superstrut cause 500 for rotoes is not looking pretty lol

this rotor will not fit on superstrut suspension, but I told you, I have another rotor that will.
