I used to own a '94 GT but I sold it about 5 years ago for a yellow '91 MR2 turbo. Not to say anything about MR2's in general, but the one I bought was a lemon, so I recently sold it after 5 years (and a LOT of money spent on it). Now I am very glad to say I bought another 6th generation Celica. If I could have any car within reason, this is what it would look like, so I am very happy with it.

I haven't had a chance to take pictures yet so here are the dealer's ad pictures.

Thanks smile.gif

What part of it looks aftermarket? I thought everything looked stock except for the wheels.

ive never seen that interior color on a celica. it doesnt look normal tan, and the shift boot is color matched. my 99 had tan interior but my shift boot was black.

Yep! I live in SB behind Magnolia Shopping Center, if you know where that is (border of Goleta/SB).

The tan color was definitely an option because it's the exact same as my old Celica, though I'm not sure about the wood grain and shift boot.

Wow, that looks to be in great condition!

But LE badges on a 99? Not sure that's stock....Still looks good though.

And welcome back to the 6gc family!

I've got wood grain in my '99 hatch, so its either an option, or we both had people add before we bought it.

I have tan cloth interior and both my shift boot and arm rest is black. you've also got an extra speaker added to your doors. It looks pretty good.

@96blue I dont see any LE badges. if you mean gold badges, i think that the tan interior cars got the gold.

shift boot only comes in black from toyota, i've asked before. Wood grain dash kits were/are available on Ebay, not sure if they were offered stock though.

Clean looking vert though, enjoy wink.gif

damn! that's a clean celi! doesn't matter if it stock or not. I still think it's a good looking car... although I'm not too keen on the woodgrain interior.

Here's another interesting tidbit - everything I've ever read says the verts and the ST's were dropped before '99 and the only thing available for '99 were GT Hatches. Not 100% if that's true or not but we could def tell from his vin number.
I think the woodgrain was a dealer option add-on and for sure the 10 speaker system was a vert-only option.
Enjoy your nice new car biggrin.gif

I googled 99 Celica convertible and found some but I haven't gone any further than that.

The sticker inside the door jamb will tell for sure, too

It's the Coupe that ended before 99. They kept the verts and hatchbacks.

Your right about the ST ending before 99, 97' was thier last year.

A bit off topic, but figured I'd clear that up for you guys.

Thanks guess they kept just enough coupes to convert to vert for '99 and I'v ejust never seen a '99 vert before.

there is a couple of verts. and yes the woodgrain on mine came factory cause its the limited edition. so this could be a dealer addon.

the floor rug definetely aftermarket, my tan rug did not look so bright.

the gold package was available for the celica as well.

That leather looks like a dealer add on options, i used to work in toyota and they did that.

But all in all it looks awesome, just like mine looked when i got it....
